Online:Oblivion Damage
The UESPWiki – Your source for The Elder Scrolls since 1995
< Elder Scrolls Online: Effects(Redirected from Online:Irresistible Damage)
Oblivion Damage is a type of damage that cannot be resisted by any damage reduction effects or by Blocking. Physical and Spell Resistance also do not mitigate it and it bypasses Damage Shields by always damaging the Health pool. Dodging however works as usual. Fortunately, sources of Oblivion Damage are very rare, being found mostly as set bonuses. Note that Oblivion Damage cannot do Critical Strikes†. So it is more effective against heavily armored enemies.
Sources[edit]
Skills[edit]
- Malevolent Offering and its morphs deal Oblivion Damage to yourself.
- The Anchorite's Cruelty Signature Script makes your scribed Soul Burst or Wield Soul skills consumme a Soul Gem to deal Oblivion damage over time that scale with the target's Max Health and deal up to 100% more damage to enemies under 50% Health.
Enchantements[edit]
- A weapon with a Glyph of Decrease Health enchantment, made with a subtractive potency rune and Okoma, will deal Oblivion Damage.
†The Glyph of Decrease Health enchantement can criticaly strike and triggers sets and passives triggered by dealing critical damage such as Hemorrhage. This is not intended behavior, fortunately its damage isn't increased when criticaly striking.
Sets[edit]
The following sets either cause or synergize with Oblivion Damage:
Set | Weight | 5 piece bonus |
---|---|---|
Knight Slayer | Light Armor | Your fully-charged Heavy Attacks deal an additional 8% of an enemy's Max Health as Oblivion Damage. This can deal a maximum of 186-8000 Oblivion Damage. |
Pelinal's Wrath | Any | Whenever you kill an enemy you gain a damage shield that absorbs up to 3876 damage for 10 seconds and a stack of Wrath of Whitestrake for 10 seconds. Each stack of Wrath of Whitestrake grants you 2-100 Weapon and Spell Damage, but causes you to take 159 Oblivion damage every second, up to 10 stacks. The damage shield scales off the higher of your Weapon or Spell Damage, and the damage scales off your Max Health. |
Sload's Semblance | Any | Damaging an enemy has a 10% chance to fire a Shadow Pearl at them, dealing 3% of the target's Max Health as Oblivion Damage every 1 second for 6 seconds. The Shadow Pearl cannot be reflected. Effect can occur every 6 seconds.
This can deal a maximum of 69-3000 Oblivion Damage per tick. |
Snake in the Stars | Light Armor | Adds 129 Magicka Recovery, Applying a Major or Minor Debuff to an enemy applies Star Venom to them for 4 seconds. This effect can occur once every 12 seconds with a cooldown of 12 seconds. Whenever an enemy with Star Venom is healed, they take 1170 Oblivion Damage, up to once per 0.1 seconds. An enemy can only be affected by one instance of Star Venom every 12 seconds. |
Champion Points[edit]
- Occult Overload in the Warfare tree grants the following effect: "Whenever you kill an enemy under the effect of a status effect, they violently explode for 1037 Oblivion Damage per stage to all other enemies in a 4 meter radius, and applying a random status effect to each enemy hit. This effect can occur once every second." As is has five stages, it can deal up to 5,185 Oblivion Damage.
Enemies[edit]
- More enemies, traps and mechanics than you would think actually deal Oblivion Damage in their attacks. Most of them are One-Shot mechanics but more common encounters such as Slaughterfish and Chaos Balls also deal Oblivion Damage.
Defense[edit]
- There is no defense against Oblivion Damage.
