Yorgrim Hall is a Dwemer-themed home nestled in the mountains near Windhelm. It features a "build your own home" system and full support for spouses and adoption.—Official Summary

Official Description[edit]

Yorgrim Hall is a Dwemer-themed home nestled in the mountains near Windhelm. It features a "build your own home" system and full support for spouses and adoption.

Obtaining Yorgrim Hall can be done by locating the key (spoilers down below) and visiting the home. However, to make your new home feel more like a real home, you will need to construct or repair all of the furnishings inside. Asking your spouse and/or child to move into the home requires you to have constructed bedding for your family first.

After obtaining the key, Yorgrim Hall itself should be easy to locate as its map marker starts out visible but undiscovered.

Rooms and Key features[edit]

  • Full spouse and adoption system support
  • "Build your own home" style system similar to the Hearthfire DLC.
  • Rooms include:
    • Entry hall
    • Main hall with a fireplace and small library
    • Alchemy and Enchanting laboratory
    • Shrine baths
    • Kitchen
    • Children's Bedroom
    • Master Bedroom
    • Armory
    • Forge
  • The exterior of the hall includes a rock quarry and clay deposit near the river[sic] and a chopping block for obtaining firewood (firewood is used heavily in the building system) [sic]
  • If you do not wish to obtain the materials on your own to build the house, you may purchase all of the materials needed at the main workbench. It will of course cost you a large sum to do so.
  • Survival Mode Support

KEY LOCATION SPOILERS[edit]

Near the home, just across the river along the road due west of Anga's Mill is a broken carriage with two bodies. One [sic] of which contains the key to the home and a journal detailing how they came to have said key.

Technical compatibility Note for mod authors[edit]

To make the game's spouse/adoption system work, this home makes use of one of the several empty and unused slots that were original [sic] added for creation club [sic] support. (Slot 17 specifically) At the time of this writing there are no other house mods or creations that make use of that home slot, so it should be compatible with pretty much everything.
