I must find the Khajiit Treasure Hunter and learn what he knows about the ancient Ayleid crown.

Quick Walkthrough[edit]

  1. Talk to the Khajiit Treasure Hunter.

Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

Starting Off[edit]

After you finish Facing the Dragon, Saashi will speak to you:

"Saashi may know someone who could help with the crown, though. His name is M'jaddah. He is an expert in ancient Ayleid artifacts. A treasure hunter."
Can we trust him?
"If we have coin, he will help us."
Where do you know him from?
"He is actually a cousin of Saashi's. Twice removed."

Wither option will lead to:

"This one is unsure of who else could help at this point."
Okay, I'll go see him.
"Do keep an eye on your valuables while you are there..."

If spoken to again before finding the treasure hunter:

"The Treasure Hunter lives quite far from here. You should get going as soon as you can."

Meeting with M'jaddah[edit]

You will begin in a forest, with M'jaddah just up ahead, speak to him:

"Hello there! You are Saashi's friend, yes? This one is known as M'jaddah, famous treasure hunter and adventurer."
Never heard of this one.
"Well... ""famous"" is perhaps premature. But M'jaddah will earn that title in time. Saashi sent word that you search for something very special. Something rare, and ancient."
I know who you are.
"Saashi sent word to M'jaddah that you were coming, that you were looking for something special. She said it was something unique, and very old, yes?"

Either option will lead to:

"M'jaddah thinks you will be pleasantly surprised to see what he has discovered."
You found Celemaril's crown?
"M'jaddah will show you, yes?"

M'jaddah will then run off ahead, follow him and you will have to deal with two necromancers and a dire wolf wandering the area. There are a few ingredients and a breakable in this area. Further ahead you will have to deal with another three dire wolves.

Continue on and you will reach a clearing with two necromancers patrolling. Once dealt with, continue on and you will find some Ayleid arches and ruins, with a lone necromancer. You will then walk through a crag with a dire wolf.

At the end of the forest, M'jaddah can be found standing in some Ayleid ruins:

"Please do not hurt M'jaddah! They left him no choice!"
Give me one good reason not to kill you.
"Err... M'jaddah's adorably roguish personality?"
Wrong answer.
"Wait, M'jaddah knows where the ancient Ayleid crown is!"
M'jaddah better start talking, then.
"It is in a remote cave, guarded by one of the most terrifying monsters ever to walk Tamriel. M'jaddah swears this is the truth!
Khajiit promises to give directions if his life is spared!"
What about those necromancers?
"They knew you were coming to see M'jaddah. They have been watching you through a spy."
A spy? Who is it?
"M'jaddah heard something about the Queen's mage. That is all that is known, M'jaddah swears!"
All right, you'll live... for now.
"Thank you, kind <PlayerName>. M'jaddah will not forget this!"

If spoken to again:

"Thank you again for letting M'jaddah live. You will not regret it!"

The quest will then end.

Returning to Saashi[edit]

Once you return:

"How did it go?"
I managed to get the info.
"Well, that is what matters, yes?"
I walked right into a trap!
"This one is sorry about that. My cousin never was very... trustworthy."

Both will lead to:

"At least now we can figure out where to go next!"
Also, the Queen's mage is a necromancer spy.
"Really? We should probably warn her about that..."
Good idea, I'll go.
"This one hopes it's not too late..."
