Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
Gavrus Lampronius will inform you of a trick dungeon set up by his friend Brold. Before you start the quest, make sure you have a weapon or spell that is capable of doing shock damage. Once you accept and start the quest, you will start in a room with a ghost.
When spoken to the ghost will warn you about his fellow Tower Ghosts, who will be hostile:
- "Oh! You're here to climb the tower? Just keep in mind you will find what you need for each puzzle on the same floor. Don't go running up and down stairs wondering where to go. Just keep looking. In exchange for that info, please, don't be too rough with my friends. They're supposed to slow you down, but they're not really fighters. Good luck!"
In the same room, if you walk to the right wall there is a path leading to a corridor that contains a set of books on the floor, they unlock the first secret area. This secret area contains a Silver Chest, two large breakables, one small breakable, and some resources. One of the large breakables contains a key that is needed later for the secret reward so make sure to collect it.
Once you have looted the first secret area, return to the ghost and activate the Welkynd stone that rests on a holder opposite the door, to open the door next to the ghost. In this next corridor, you will have to fight against two tower ghosts, use shock damage as the tower ghosts are weak to this. The next room contains a door puzzle, with there being three pedestals that act as switches, the one to the left opens a door to a room housing two skeletons, the one to the right opens a door to a room containing three skeevers and the central switch opens a door allowing you to continue.
In the next hallway, there will be 10 skeevers to defeat as you progress, using fireball will clear them with ease. In the next room, you will have to activate the switch on the wall directly in front of you as you enter, this will open a stone door that leads to a room with another tower ghost, he holds a key that you will need to open the door in the previous room.
Once you open the locked door with the key, continue onwards and you will enter another large room, look to the left and you will see a switch on the wall, pull it and then keep hugging the left wall until you encounter a bookshelf with a pile of books that can be activated. Another switch is on the back wall. Once these three switches are activated, go to the right side of the room, where the fourth switch is on the wall of an alcove and the last one next to the locked door. Once the doors are open, you will have to deal with two tower ghosts and two skeletons.
After this, you will enter another large room that contains the ghost from the start of the tower who will say:
- "You made it! Brold will be pleased. I thought you might give up because of all the Skeevers. Anyhow, we put together a little reward. I do hope you like it. There still might be something to find, so feel free to look around."
Choose to explore instead of completing the quest when the popup happens, look to the left of where you entered the room and you will see a lever, activate it and a door on the right side of the room will open, this is the second secret area and is where Brold can be found. The room also contains a Silver Chest. Talk to Brold and he will say:
- "Oh! Hello! You found me... that's awkward. By the way, did you find a second key? I think I dropped one somewhere."
- This key?
- "My key! You found it, give it here. You can have whatever's in this room as a reward."
He will then open the gate behind him to reveal a room that contains a Golden Chest and two large breakables.
