Robert Stoll was a game designer at Bethesda Softworks in the mid 1990s, and helped conceive the overall worldbuilding and narrative of Daggerfall in collaboration with that project's lead designer, Ted Peterson.
According to Peterson, Stoll took creative inspiration from the tabletop game RuneQuest.
