House Diel is a Breton noble house from Daggerfall in Glenumbra. Lord Alain Diel was known for popularizing the usage of bibs made out of spidersilk at extravagant parties within Daggerfall.[1] Circa 2E 542, Lord Alain hired a mercenary group to gather harpy eggs from those dwelling in the Shrieking Scar. This was to supplement their income for their true plan, which was to slay the harpies to expand Daggerfall into the area to increase their investments. The harpies were artificially made more aggressive by feeding them tainted fish procured by Alain's dealings with shady organizations. If House Diel's operation was successful, or if it was exposed and Lord Alain was slain by the same harpies he sought to exploit is unknown.[2][3]

In the late years of the Third Era, Marguerite Diel was a member of the Mythic Dawn and was briefly present in Cyrodiil for the Oblivion Crisis. After the Hero of Kvatch infiltrated the cult's hideout in Lake Arrius, many agents like Marguerite targeted them out in public. She and another cult member, Styrbjorn stayed at the All-Saints Inn in the Imperial City's Temple District. Whether a confrontation between the two and the Hero of Kvatch had occurred is unknown, but by the end of the Oblivion Crisis, they were no longer present in Cyrodiil.[4]
