Notability[edit]

I proposed this page for deletion as this character very clearly does not meet our Lore:People notability guidelines. She is relevant in ESO for gameplay reasons; she is not a historic figure. —Legoless (talk) 19:35, 4 September 2024 (UTC)

She's a notable public figure. Owning locations in various parts of the continent. I think she just about qualities.Tarponpet (talk) 19:40, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
She seems like Lore:People entry material but unworthy of a full page sheerly because of the lack of details we have of her. That said, I've seen a huge group of people against ever deleting a lorepage in favor of making it a Lore:People entry if the page has already been created. Personally, though, I support deletion. As I said in my edit summary: The fact she's basically -the- landlord for all of 2E 582 Tamriel and gives out properties to heroes and adventurers, including the Vestige, should qualify her just in scale alone. Against deletion. CoolBlast3 (talk) 19:43, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
She's not "the" landlord, she just appears to be so from the perspective of an ESO player. The only reason she owns so many properties is due to a game mechanic, namely the fact that the same quest can be picked up in multiple locations. It takes a narrow reading of the sources to assume she is a loreworthy public figure. To me this seems like an attempt to bulk up the number of Breton lore pages (an admirable project) by picking an unsuitable candidate. —Legoless (talk) 19:57, 4 September 2024 (UTC)
I'm sorry to say but game mechanics go hand-in-hand with lore. And in this case, since we do have multiple lorebooks backing her up, they're even more intertwined than usual. If we discount gameplay's role in lore, then half of UESP's Lore sources should go bye bye. Furthermore, ZOS did take attention to detail here and made sure to not include the Oblivion houses in her repertoire of homes, which provides an even more obvious distinction of gameplay and lore if you truly wish to entirely disregard the former. The way I see it, this page better serves most effectively as a way to document the inn rooms within lore. We can't make individual pages for all the inn rooms, but we can document them here as properties of the landlord. We have often documented houses as under the umbrellas of their former owners lorepages, such as with Potentate's Retreat on Lore:Versidue-Shaie and Pariah's Pinnacle on Lore:Baloth Bloodtusk. Inn rooms lent to adventurers aren't particularly lore-notable. I do think Felande is notable in that having properties across several provinces and the elusive Systres is an impressive feat, but I maintain that she should be mentioned as a Lore:People entry as there is nothing here other than her picture which cannot be done just as well in such an entry. I would say that the gallery is at least quite handy, and it helps compile all these inn rooms and show off the different architectural styles. While this page could be better off as an entry, I do have to point out that the game will continue to keep adding these inn rooms every year for at least the next 10 years, and this page may need to get even bigger in the future because of that, so we should keep that in mind before doing anything. For now, I believe either the page should have more content added to it in the next week so it can stay as there's still stuff missing, but if it doesn't get expanded then it will be better to just turn it into an entry until something changes.
