Morrowind talk:The Hlervu Locket
To start the Bal Molagmer quests you also have to have a fame rating. I'm just not sure how high. When I had a fame rating of 12 I didn't get the Bal Molagmer topic, when I was at 32 I did. Does anybody know what it should be? --Zoidberg 15:32, 13 December 2006 (EST)
- Just looked through the editor; there's no minimum reputation for the Bal Molagmer quests but you have to be Footpad (rank 3). -Meisterdieb 18:30, 3 February 2009 (EST)

Huh, That Explains It![edit]
Okay, maybe this is me being ignorant again, like the glitch with Security Expert, but I was in Ald'ruhn a while back, and I found several easy-to-steal Hlervu lockets. Do you only need one for the quest? Can you sell the rest without reprecussion (assuming you're not caught stealing them)? Do they enchant well? I had been wondering what they were for, and this quest gives me the jist of it... Somercy 10:27, 17 September 2007 (EDT)
- Probably old news, but to clarify: there is only ONE Hlervu locket which you need for this quest. The other amulets that look like it are exquisite amulets, which you can find and sell or enchant as you like. But only the "named" one will be accepted for the quest. -Meisterdieb 18:40, 3 February 2009 (EST)
Got the gloves but?[edit]
even if I wear them, Jim won't give me a B Quest, just regular ones, anything I am missing? — Unsigned comment by LadyPegasus (talk • contribs) on 9 December 2008
- You get these quests by asking Stacey about "Bal Mogamer" - not "jobs". Is that the problem? –Rpeh•T•C•E• 06:52, 12 December 2008 (EST)
No I am not getting that option. I am just going to try to start it with a console code but I prefer not to use them if I don't have to.
- There is another variable that is checked before you get the Bal Molagmer topic (and therefore the quests) and that is whether Salyn Sarethi is dead. If he is dead you won't get any of the Bal Molagmer quests. (salyn is a Boyant Armiger in Ghostgate, Tower of Dusk). -Meisterdieb 18:36, 3 February 2009 (EST)
Found the locket, but sold it.. Somewhere.. Where?[edit]
The Locket is gone since I sold it to a shop. How can I get it back and how do I know which shop I sold it?
- If you cannpt remember where you sold it to, then you either have to check all the merchants you've visited since then (maybe there are a couple you usually frequent?), or simply use the console command to give you that item: player->additem"exquisite_amulet_hlervu1",1 -Meisterdieb 06:32, 18 January 2010 (UTC)
gloves[edit]
the gloves are dark purple not black (Eddie the head 16:46, 16 January 2011 (UTC))
- I agree, I looked at the picture on the site and they are purple, good catch.--Catmaniac66 17:54, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
Can't get the gloves[edit]
I'm playing the Xbox version, but no matter how many times I talk to him, I don't get the topic of Bal Molagmer anywhere. What can I do? Do I need to get it somewhere else before?
This is my third game and I've never had this problem before, I've finished the quests normally, but this time, nothing.

Multiple Hlervu Lockets (XBox)[edit]
Playing the Platinum Hits edition for XBox and I managed to find 6 named Hlervu Lockets in Venim Manor. Not just the exquisite ones that look like the Hlervu. Pretty much every chest in the Guard Quarters had one.— Unsigned comment by 208.107.122.79 (talk) at 21:30 on 18 March 2012
- I can't find them in the CS. What were their exact names? There are other Hlervu lockets defined in the CS with a value of 4 and with an enchantment, but their count is set to zero, so there are no objects with that ID in the game. Wolok gro-Barok 15:40, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
- I'm running Platinum hits edition also. I've found many, many named Hlervu Lockets and not just in Venim manor. (Plus, the locket as described on the main page here--on top of a chest in the second-to-last room on the left--was not there.) A random one of these did the trick with Braynas Hlervu, though.
