Calliben's Grim Retort

The mace within the Trentius Family Mausoleum

Calliben's Grim Retort is a unique Elven mace found within the Trentius Family Mausoleum in the Imperial City.

The door to the mausoleum will only be unlocked as part of the quest Unfriendly Competition, allowing you to retrieve the mace at any point afterward. It is hidden behind the tomb of Calliben Trentius, along the western wall of the mausoleum. To reach it, you may need to jump or use a weak fireball to shift its position.

The mace is one of the best non-leveled blunt weapons in the game, being available at level 1. It is also one of the few enchanted weapons with a guaranteed location.
