The Elder Scrolls Renewal: Morroblivion is a total conversion mod project that brings the world and stories of Morrowind in the newer Oblivion engine.

Status[edit]

Morroblivion was first released for public download in September 2010 and has since had numerous updates, bringing stability improvements and newer assets and gameplay options. The current version is v66b.

Scope[edit]

Morroblivion merges the content from Morrowind into the more modern gaming engine of Oblivion. The player only actually plays Morroblivion using the Oblivion game. This means that the user interface, combat, graphics, and system requirements for the Morroblivion mod are all those of Oblivion. Ownership of both games is required to play.

All Oblivion content is still playable with Morroblivion installed. If a save is started with Morroblivion installed, the player will start inside the Imperial Prison Ship on character creation, and the game's date and time will start from the 16th of Last Seed, 3E 427. Should the player head back to Cyrodiil, they will find a dead Imperial man named Jonis right outside of the prison sewer exit. Interacting with his corpse will immediately start Deliver the Amulet, as well as all the starting quests for all DLC that are currently installed, except for Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine.
