Illusion Training[edit]
(These comments were moved here from Oblivion talk:Trevaia. --Nephele 12:05, 13 July 2006 (EDT))
I have had the same problem with kud-ei, she won't offer any services! Before I did the quest, "through a nightmare, darkly", she would actually do stuff, now she just sits and reads on the bench all day!— Unsigned comment by Poopstania (talk • contribs)
- I've never noticed Kud-Ei offer any services, and according to the lists at Spell_Merchants and People she's not supposed to be providing anything (other than being the source of two quests). Only a few members at each Mage's Guild are supposed to sell spells. What do you recall that she used to provide?--Nephele 13:13, 11 July 2006 (EDT)
According to the page on Trainers, Kud-Ei provides "Medium" Illusion training. I can't recall ever seeing Kud-Ei offering training but I can't be sure. I haven't completed the "through a nightmare, darkly" quest so I doubt that's the cause. I did try resting an hour at a time throughout a week in the game to see if Kud-Ei only offered training at certain times or on certain days of the week...but no luck. --schatten529 22:52, 12 July 2006 (EDT)
- This one I can flat out say is almost certainly wrong. There's no indication from the Construction Set that Kud-Ei ever offers services of any kind. Still no idea what's making Trevaia not work, though. --TheRealLurlock 23:40, 12 July 2006 (EDT)
Trivia[edit]
When asked about rumours, Raminus Polus, in both spoken and subtitled speech, will say that Kud-Ei runs a strict guild in Bruma, when very clearly she runs the show in Bravil. --CharmSpell 14:26, 10 July 2007 (EDT)
- It's not just him - a lot of people say that. At one time I posted that on Oblivion:Glitches, and it was up there for a while, but somebody has evidently removed alot of that minor stuff as part of the page clean-up. --TheRealLurlock Talk 20:32, 10 July 2007 (EDT)
Recommendation[edit]
I can't get her to give me the recommendation quest. I haven't done her nightmare quest and she won't give me the recommendation option. Do I hafta do do her other quest. --Sencilia 02:11, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
- No you can do the reccomandation anytime., you may not have joined the mages guild yet. --Arch-Mage Matt 03:08, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
- I've done every other recommendation in every other town and I am in the Mages Guild. --Sencilia 04:33, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
- Have you tried selecting the "Varon Vamori" topic? You need to select that topic in order to start with the recommendation quest.--MC• S'drassa •T2M 04:59, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
(indent) Yes, it is possible that she won't give you the reccomendation quest unless you first finish Through a Nightmare, Darkly. Just do that quest and then talk to her again, she should now have the reccomendation dialogue option available. --SerCenKing Talk 16:42, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
- Really? I almost never do her quest, but I always finish the reccomandation.--Arch-Mage Matt 01:12, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

- Awwww but I hate her quest! Alright I'll give it a try. --Sencilia 02:11, 3 December 2009 (UTC)

I finished her nightmare quest and she asked if I wanted to do the recommendation. --Sencilia 01:49, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
Dialogue Notes[edit]
For the sake of completion, this is a list of the remaining Kud-Ei dialogue; they’re all “hello’s”, meaning she will randomly say them when she sees you during the Nightmare quest, but I figured most of them were redundant and would only add as filler on an already massive page:
- Welcome back to the true world.
- There isn't any more to say. Please, lay down and sleep.
- This is your last chance to get ready. Once you're asleep, there's no coming back until Henantier awakens.
- We've arrived.
- Be patient, all will be explained.
- I hope you've prepared yourself. The journey you're to undertake could be dangerous.
There’s probably more for the Recommendation quest, so I’ll try and add them here later. --Krusty 09:08, 5 October 2011 (UTC)
