Tribesman[edit]
Hey I had an idea, Tribesman!!! Here is an examples:
Zulu
The Zulu are known for their courage, adaptability and proficient skill with melee weapons. Choose a human race, Redguard recommended due to skin and strength. Use a mace and fists and wear nothing (if your a female you can wear a huntsman's vest) except a very expensive amulet and rings. Use the Wabbajack at close range, to imitate an enchanted spear infused with the spirits of fallen Zulu to give it it's magical properties. You can use a Bow and Arrow but that is optional. Live in the outside world and in the hottest climate possible. Have followers and for computer users, use commands to change the race, outfits and everything else that makes a Zulu, a Zulu. For more fun, pretend the nearest city is leading a siege against your little tribe of up to nine and ambush the soldiers posted out the city like the actual Zulu did to the British. Then once a master of Blunt, Hand to Hand and/or Marksman but Archery is not needed, siege the city and kill all guards and break into the castle (you'll have to exit the city for Anvil or Skingrad) and kill the sieging count (if you're not outside Bravil or Leyawiin (after a certain Thieves Guild Quest), you will have to knock them unconscious and if you're outside the Imperial city you'll have to K.O. the High Chancellor). Your mission complete, go to a cave and call it a shrine. Pray to the spirits, and recieve your last quest: Join the immortal spirits by suicide, go to a section where there are enemies and get killed (undead are recommended so they can be the spirits aiding you in your quest).
Here are some other tribes:
Native Americans
Tutsi
And any other ones you can think of, feel free to edit slightly but keep the general idea there!! — Unsigned comment by Golden Eagle (talk • contribs)
Ugh, really[edit]
(spoilers)
Did this page really have to include "...when avenging their death. For example, use Hannibal Traven's staff and robe when confronting Mannimarco". Yes, needlessly spoil the entire mages guild questline when there are thousands of non-specific examples. Why do you put such blatant spoilers in seemingly all user friendly pages? Sorry if I seem upset. But I am, as I find this really unnacceptable. — Unsigned comment by 24.189.164.73 (talk) on July 16, 2010
- If you read the main page, it clearly states that This site's purpose is to provide information; therefore, most of the content contains spoilers. --Arch-Mage MattTalk 02:46, 6 August 2010 (UTC
- Yes, I understand that. I have no problems with spoilers as long as they're on their respective pages. On the Hannibal Traven page, on the Mannimarco page, on the Mages Guild page. But this is Roleplaying Guidelines.
- Yes, but also this is 2010. There is a point where it stops to be spoilers and becomes history.

Fast Travel[edit]
There, I believe is continous water between the imperial city and anvil, if you are counting the ocean, so I reccomend changing the example to something more able. — Unsigned comment by 67.82.73.143 (talk) on July 20 2010
- Yes, but that's hardly fast is it? You would have to go right round Elsweyr and Valenwood. This is supposed to be about imagining faster modes of travel. rpeh •T•C•E• 12:43, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
Suggested Mod[edit]
I have seen others use this mod and it is very realistic, if you wish, you can install the Actor's Orb, which allows you to do specific animations like being staggered, creating potions, or sleepig like a vampire. ====
Suggested Subsection[edit]
I would like to see an "Class" subsection. Not every character is suited to horseback, but every character possesses a social class. The game does most the dividing for you, but in keeping with realism your social class as many limitations as your backstory. The section can include appropriate attire, furnishings, quests, salary, inventory, etc. — Unsigned comment by 24.188.94.22 (talk) at 02:22 on 29 August 2010
- Maybe you could be a ranger and stay in an inn. (like the inn of ill omen.) You would be like a forester but insted you explore places like ruins and protect travellers. — Unsigned comment by 86.164.246.64 (talk) at 17:10 on 6 September 2010
Race-Appropriate Family[edit]
Where did the information that there are no Altmer fathers or Orc children come from? I know quite a bit of lore and general facts myself, and I've never bumped into anything that suggests that before. The only thing I can think of to support the last statement is that Mazoga the Orc claims to "be born under a rock"/in no need of a family name - but she wasn't born a grown up was she? Also The Gray Prince's mother (or Lord Lovidicus' mistress, if you wish) obviously gave birth to him... or have I gotten it all wrong? RelasArtoria 08:30, 13 September 2010 (UTC)RelasArtoria
- It doesn't say "or", it says "and". In other words, if you're playing an Orc, don't pretend to have an Altmer father. I suppose it should really say mother, given that Notes on Racial Phylogeny says children mainly take after their mothers, but can you really imagine an Altmer mating with an Orc? rpeh •T•C•E• 10:23, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
- Ah, my bad. Probably should have read it again. On a different note I think I could actually see an Altmer-Orc pairing. Hell, we got the The Lusty Argonian Maid, and if we can go with man-beast thing, a mer couple doesn't seem that strange. RelasArtoria

Spoilers[edit]
After youve played the game a few times you know how things are going to end up. I particularly always feel bad about the people at Cheydinhal sanctuary. Ocheeva is my friend.
I counter this by roleplaying I have prescience. I play that the future is made of things that are fixed, and things that are malleable, and that this is fate. Me being an altmer helps. If youre not an altmer or elf, you could easily roleplay that since you are destined to deny Mehrunes Dagon Tamriel, you have been granted this power by the gods/ daedra.
Simply put: 'I am so sorry my dear Ocheeva. But if I did not remove all food and leave only these poisoned apples, fate would find another way, and more cruel at that. Sleep well, dear friend.'
Happy roleplaying:) --Merari 16:57, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
Mistakes[edit]
I can't edit the page so I just wanted to let you know: "See how the livestock are townspeople are doing." In the traveling section. I assume the first 'are' is supposed to be an 'and'. ~ Dwarfmp 21:52, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

Fast Traveling While Role Playing[edit]
Walking everywhere can be quite rewarding, by finding unmapped easter eggs, beautiful locations, etc. But some distances are just unfathomable, especially while doing quests and other activities where time is of the essence. Not to mention the patience required to run or even WALK everywhere. While surely fast travel can seem very unrealistic, those who want to role play while not eliminating fast traveling can do so. Pretend that you catch a carriage or wagon from one city to another, or, if you are on the road, pretend that a trade caravan finds you. If you are a mage (especially one of high level) pretend you have a spell of teleportation or flight. Alternatively, if there is a place you visit often, drop some sort of item that could act as a teleportation beacon- for you Fable fans out there, like a Guild Seal. This could be as common as an hourglass, a crystal ball, or even a soul gem. Hunterr5996 01:30, 12 January 2011 (UTC)
My First Mourning and thoughts on the roleplaying aspect[edit]
I remember back in one of my first weeks of in-game time, I was at the Jerall View Inn in Bruma, when I accidentally grabbed a tankard. The stupid guard came in and tried arresting me for 1 gold but I resisted because it seemed folly. Logvaar, a nearby Nord was a friend of mine and killed the guard. Later on in my next load-up, I traveled back to Bruma to find a dead Logvaar near Olav's but up next to the stone battlement in front of the statue Which is adjacent to the chapel. In my roleplaying experience, I made-up that I could put dragon's tongue flowers on the fallen. So I put about 3 on him......when I read that section I was blown away by the whole article for the fact that I thought up alot of these myself (I still give the writer credit, though). I constantly look for bids on "How To Make A Family", but I get nothing. I know how though: first establish your name and relatives on paper or on the notes app. Then with the PC version of Oblivion, go to the CS. Make NPCs according to your writings and notes about your character's name. Then make their schedules and paths and set them unma house (Rosehorn Hall is the best idea for this). Give them skills based on their gender and race and spells, attributes, clothing,Etc. And even make diologue for them too! Also, finish off the rest of the characters in your house with the finishing touches that you put on custom NPCs, like the other statistics and where they travel; things like that.....that's about all I know so far, and I don't even use the PC version! So with a little encouragement, you CAN have too much fun, by roleplaying on Oblivion, of course!

Old Roleplaying Pages[edit]
What happened to the old Character Ideas roleplaying pages? I remembering them being kept even after the re-design of the character ideas, but now I can't find them. It's a shame, because they were better than most of the stuff people make now. If they've been removed... Well that's stupid, i liked the old system better. --call999itsashark talk • mail 14:52, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
- youll probaly have to look in userspace (From Fear to Eternity- Eddie The Head 14:40, 7 August 2011 (UTC))

- Okay, I just looked, I found a ton of pages but they are all deleted and there's no way to see what they had before they were deleted, so that's not much help. And the userspace ones are the new, bad ones which I don't want so... --call999itsashark talk • mail 14:58, 7 August 2011 (UTC)

Another day, Another septim[edit]
I apologise if this is in the wrong place, but i don't know where else to put it...
does the phrase "another day, another Septim" refer to the guards wages, or the emperors death?
if the former it would help with guard roleplaying, as guards and soldiers are notorious for low wages...
(just a thought) Blackgus 02:00, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
- it refers to the money (From Fear to Eternity- Eddie The Head 03:22, 3 September 2011 (UTC))
What happened to the old format?[edit]
I really enjoyed the old format, but this new one is still okay but in my opinion the former format was more appealing to me. I just wanna ask a question, why was the format changed? Fin Dova Feyn 12:40, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
