Alana Relin is a Breton mage who is a part of the Mages Guild expedition to Glenumbra Moors, whose goal is to learn how Faolchu the Changeling was killed at the Battle of Glenumbra Moors.

She is a descendant of a knight of the same name who fought in the battle, and will only appear if you choose to change the course of history by saving Alana the knight in the vision of the past.

Quest-Related Events[edit]

After speaking to Saravith Yunlin, you will be puzzled to see a living descendant of Alana Relin who looks exactly like her. You will let her know about Faolchu's weakness to fire:

"You're back. And just in time. But the celebration must wait, I'm afraid.
Faolchu's forces have taken all of Camlorn and the Lion Guard's counterattack falters."
Alana? Is that really you?
"What's wrong with you? Why are you looking at me like that? You know I'm the descendant of the spirit who appeared before you.
Get your head on straight and tell me how Faolchu was originally defeated."
Fire weakens him and makes him vulnerable.
"I thought as much. That's the story our family has passed down through the ages, but I needed proof. Now Camlorn must be told.
You know, what you've done here has changed everything. Maybe more than we know."

If you completed The Fall of Faolchu, the dialogue will be slightly different:

"You're back! Tell me, what did you see?"
That's how you defeated him in Camlorn, and it matches the story my family passed down.
You really are a hero, aren't you? Maybe more than we know."

Alternately, if you finish the conversation before completing the quest and go back to speak to her, the conversation will slightly change.

If Camlorn is not liberated:

"You're back. And just in time. But the celebration must wait, I'm afraid.
Faolchu's forces have taken all of Camlorn and the Lion Guard's counterattack falters."
Fire weakens him so that he can be killed. (Leads to quest completion dialogue)

Otherwise if Camlorn is already liberated:

"You're back! Tell me, what did you see?"
Just as in Camlorn, fire made Faolchu vulnerable. (Leads to quest completion dialogue)

Speak to her again and she'll say:

"The next step is to take this information to Camlorn."

If Camlorn was already liberated prior to the completion of The Nameless Soldier:

"I cannot thank you enough, my friend. Without you, Camlorn…Glenumbra…it would all be in grave jeopardy."
