He appears if you haven't helped Hazazi at Bramblebreach.

Speaking to him at the rendezvous point.

When the Pillars are activated and the portal opens:

Paranarth: "Our ticket's up. Ladies first!"

Azsu: "This one is no lady."

When the harvester spawns:

Paranarth: "What is that?"

Azsu: "Focus! Our friend hunts for us."

Iniel: "We're trying to destroy the crystals protecting the sigil stone! Keep that abomination off of us!"

Speaking to him after taking the Sigil Stone:

"It is never a good sign when mages keep plans secret. Azsu knows this."

If he is chosen to stay behind, he will hold Iniel's scroll in front of him:

Azsu: "This is a dark moon, but Azsu's claws are bared and he will do what he must."

If he is not chosen, you can speak to him in Greenshade:

"You saved many lives today. Azsu will remember you."
