Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

Collect magicka from Imbued Corpses

Vigrod Wraithbane directs you to an Argonian named Ree-Zish, who is trying to get into the mine. The way into the mine is currently blocked by enormous, wriggling vines: the Reachmen's doing. Speak with Ree-Zish. She's devised a way to get into the mine.

Ree-Zish asks you to charge a totem with the imbued corpses that the Boneshapers have been defiling. To do this, you will need to find a pair of Reachmen channelling a spell into a floating skeleton. Kill the Reachmen and attack the skeleton until it's destroyed. Then, run into the orbs of magicka that appear after the skeleton has fallen. Once you've collected nine units of magicka, return to Ree-Zish. She instructs you to imbue the effigies of Life and Death with the magicka you've collected from corpses out in the field. Once you've done so, the vines blocking the entrance to the mine peel upwards and away from the door.

Enter the mine and find Foreman Gandis. He should be able to tell you a bit about what's going on, seeing as how he's been trapped in here with the Reachmen all day. And boy, is he glad to see you! His miners have been kidnapped and the Reachmen are performing some strange rituals down here. The most concerning thing about it all is the tomb of the Companions that's connected to the mines, which the Reachmen seem very interested in.

  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
