The Colossal Miregaunt

The Colossal Miregaunt is a miregaunt which is created when Kassandra touches the Remnant of Argon within the Deep-Root.

It envelops her and tries to consume her as it fights. Eventually, Kassandra will get the upper-hand and take control, shattering its top half. The fight will continue with Kassandra in control.

Skills and Abilities

The Colossal Miregaunt has all of the same abilities as standard miregaunts, as well as two additional unique abilities:

Primordial Wave

The miregaunt plants its arms into the ground and channels energy into it that will eventually result in waves of bones and swamp debris to burst from the ground, indicated by a massive growing circular AoE. The AoE is split into three different parts, indicating the ranges affected by each waves.

The first wave hits in close range around the miregaunt once the charging AoE reaches the first segment, then the same for the second wave at mid distance and the third wave at full distance. Once the wave triggers at a specific distance, the distance it covers becomes safe to stand in again. Each wave deals high physical damage.

Hist Heal

Upon getting close to death, the miregaunt rushes to the center of the arena as a Hist sap container on the outer edge of the arena shoots healing orbs to it, healing it back to max health. This cannot be interrupted or stopped in any way. This ability is later repeated a second time once Kassandra gains control of the miregaunt and reaches 50% health.

Notes

• The Colossal Miregaunt has a health value of 146,590, but the boss health bar displays a health value of 439,770, reflecting the amount of health it is able to heal uninterrupted, once on its own, and once when Kassandra controls it.
