My son, Shining-Eyes, is a member of the Fighters Guild. He is out there even now working to destroy those anchors and save the city. I worry though—he was not adequately prepared for this cold."

"Indeed. He was born on the sunny shores of Archon and his blood runs warm, but I fear his scales may freeze in this climate.
Shining-Eyes hates it when I ask favors, but I must—would you take him this leather shirt in the Market District?"

If you speak to her again, she says:

"Thank you for easing a mother's mind. Shining-Eyes does not like it when I treat him like one fresh-from-the-egg, but it is so cold … he should have carried his shirt with him when he went out."

After you complete the quest, she tells you that Shining-Eyes stopped by to give thanks.

"Shining-Eyes stopped in a little while ago. He actually erected the spine of gratitude for sending the shirt.
They grow to maturity so fast. I remember when he was just a little spotted egg."

"I would like that. This is a bad place to die. I wish to bask again in the sun-blessed waters of Black Marsh before I shed my scales, but Shining-Eyes erects the spine of loyalty for this city.
He insists upon staying here, so I will remain too."

Found in Update 5's lang:

"You're back! What a pleasant surprise. I heard from Shining-Eyes finally. He loved the scarf. I'll knit him another one as soon as I can, even brighter than the first. Thank you for finding him!"
