Desolated Scholars are a class of hostile humanoid NPCs that wield two-handed weapons and use shadow magic. The class was introduced with High Isle.

Skills and Abilities

Quick Strike

A basic melee attack that deals minor physical damage.

Heavy Strike

A charged melee attack which deals moderate physical damage damage and staggers the target. This can be blocked to set the enemy off-balance.

Shadow Cleave

The enemy swings their weapon around, indicated by a wide red cone, dealing low magic damage and snaring affected targets.

Shadow Ward

The enemy channels a spell that casts a small damage shield for them and nearby allies, that goes away after some time if not broken beforehand. This can be interrupted to set the enemy off-balance.
