Dialogue[edit]
If you speak with him prior to completing the Firesong story quests, he will refuse to play with you, he will either say these lines:
- "I'm too old to deal with irritants like this. Come back when you're ready to play a real game."
- "Not what you were expecting? How sad for you. But you're not ready to try your hand with me."
- "Root and stone, what could you possibly want? You're not in my league. Not yet, anyway."
- Sorry, what are you doing out here?
- "As if you didn't know. Yes, yes. You've found me. Druid Braigh. He who introduced Tales of Tribute to the three druid circles. The Ivy Prodigy of Galen.
I suppose you want to challenge me to a game?" - You're a druid that plays Tribute?
- "Look around you, outsider. Firesong reavers on our doorstep! Raging furnaces beneath our feet.
I'm not exactly in the mood to roll up my sleeves and play a friendly hand or two. Come find me again when things have settled, aye?" - All right, I'll be back.
However, after you have stopped the Firesong and the Dreadsails, he will sing a different tune:
- "Well, you found me! Am I as glorious as you expected?"
- "You did it, cardsharp. You found me! Druid Braigh, the Ivy Savant. Hope it was worth the trip, hah!"
- "Aye! You did it. You found me. Druid Braigh, just as foretold."
- What are you doing out here?
- "Ha! As if you didn't know. You're here to face a reclusive master of Tales of Tribute.
You weathered the island's hazards, all in the hopes of playing cards against the legend that is … me!" - So … you're a druid that plays Tribute?
- "A druid that plays—root and stone, I'm Braigh, sandpiper! The Braigh!
Braigh the Deck-Breaker! Braigh the Streak-Breaker! I wield the power of the Druid King's Tale! My deck conquers all!" - Do you want to play, then?
- "Poor tamsfolk. You came all this way to play cards against a master. For what? To learn my secrets? To glean my wisdom?
Let's play. But the only thing you'll learn is how a loss to Braigh burns like druid fire! Yes, indeed!" - Let's play Tribute.
- [Starts Game]
- On second thought, I don't want to play right now.
- [Ends Converstion]
Notes[edit]
- Like the Founders, Braigh owns and selects a Tribute deck Druid Braigh, named after him, replacing Grandmaster Delmene Hlaalu and using its Patron ability. This deck contains three Elder Witches, two Hagraven Matrons, three King Orgnum's Commands, two Psijic Relicmasters, three Scrying Globes, two Snakeskin Freebooters, three The Dreaming Cave cards, and two Time Mastery cards.
- To duel Druid Braigh, you must first complete the entire zone storyline of Galen.
- Defeating Druid Braigh will earn you 180 Rank Points for the first win, and 90 for each victory afterwards.
- He will not appear if you have not started the Tales of Tribute questline.
- If you're having trouble finding him, start from Glimmertarn Wayshrine, and go directly up the stairs until you reach the top, where there's a face carved into stone. Right below that, slightly to the left, you'll find Druid Braigh next to a pond.
