Ethyan Drenim is a Dark Elf living in Chorrol. He can be found repairing a wall of Orneldas Caudex's ruined house.

Dialogue

His dialogue will differ, depending on your alliance and who currently controls the nearby Fort Rayles.

If you are part of Ebonheart Pact and they currently control the fort, he will say:

"Good to see you here. With the Pact in Fort Rayles, I hope things settle down around here. I could use the rest."

However, if another alliance is in control, he will instead say:

"Oh, no. Don't tell me there's a Pact army coming. More holes in my walls is what that means."

If you a part of another alliance, he will instead talk about the futility of repairing walls:

"Don't know why I bother. I no sooner patch one hole then another quake hits and more of the walls fall apart."

Notes

• Ethyan is mentioned in the The Chorrol Crier, having at one point been sent down to the Imperial City with someone named Larian to request help from the Imperial army regarding the fissure in Chorrol. Halfway there, they met Martinus, who mentions Ethyan and Larian in dialogue, and how the two didn't believe him when he told them the Imperial City was under siege by Daedra. When the group reached the shores of Lake Rumare and saw the city for themselves, Larian and Ethyan turned back.
