Quest-Related Dialogue[edit]
Sergeant Brusic will ask you to find Veslyn and the surviving prisoners, after their transport was attacked by coral. Once inside the Coral Cliffs, you will find that Eldertide druids have been feeding their prisoners to the coral. You can encounter a caged Veslyn along with two of the surviving Sea Elf prisoner in a cage high up on the cliffs.
- First Mate Veslyn: "Over here, quickly! I don't know when they'll be back."
When spoken to when she's in the cage:
- "Thank the Eight you're not one of those druids. Hurry, get us out of here. The druids, they're using us to feed their coral. The screams—I don't want any more of us to suffer that pain.
Please. Please get this door open!" - Sergeant Brusic sent me to find you and the prisoners.
- "Sergeant Brusic survived the wreck? The Sea Elves said he was as good as dead.
They regretted leaving him there as soon as those druids locked us all up. The sergeant and I take care of our prisoners." - I ran into one of the Sea Elves, she said the druids fed the other prisoners to the coral.
- "That would be Chyrisnia. She offered to pick the lock on this cage, but I couldn't leave these two. Seeing the druids when they … killed Sunigil and the others, it broke their spirits.
Chyrisnia's many things, but she's not a liar." - You saw what they did and you chose to stay?
- "It's my job to guard the prisoners. I failed so many of them already, I'll not fail these, too.
If you open the door, I'm sure I'll be able to rally their spirits and get them out of here." - I'll unlock the cage.
If spoken to again before unlocking the cage:
- "Please, hurry and open the lock. Who knows when the druids will come back."
Once the cage door is unlocked, she will speak to the prisoners:
- First Mate Veslyn: "Either pick yourselves off the ground or let me carry you. We're getting out of here, Sergeant Brusic's waiting."
- <Nilidel and Maelyeya run outside and Veslyn follows them.>
You can meet her outside near the shoreline:
- "Well, that was an experience I'll never forget. No matter how hard I try.
Chyrisnia and Sergeant Brusic told me what happened from the beginning. If you ever need anything, House Mornard owes you."
After the completion of the quest:
- "Chyrisnia and the Sea Elves are as good as their word. After everything we went through, I believe that to my bones.
Thank you for getting us out of there. I think I speak for all of us when I say we didn't want to die like that."
Dialogue[edit]
After finishing the quest she can be found at the Gonfalon Bay docks, east of the Outlaws Refugee.
- "That sail's seen better days. I wouldn't be surprised if it left with the next gust of wind. I'll have to tell Sergeant Brusic about it later.
Good to see you again by the way. Especially without any druids trying to kill us." - What are you doing in Gonfalon Bay?
- "Sergeant Brusic says we're getting a break from our regular duties by delivering supplies around the city.
I'm not sure what he was told, but this feels more like a punishment than a break." - You don't think Gonfalon needs the deliveries?
- "I bet the city does, but that's not our job. We're meant to be traveling back and forth to Amenos. Making sure the prisoners are transported safe and orderly. They're our responsibility.
Who knows who's watching them now?" - Are the prisoners transported to Amenos treated badly?
- "Not every sentry cares to know why the prisoners are being taken there. They're not all dangerous. Take Chyrisnia. She'd never hurt us. Steal some coins, maybe, but draw blood? No.
But some sentries treat them all like murderers." - Why is Chyrisnia here?
- "She volunteered to work for House Mornard. We hired her on a probationary period.
Sergeant Brusic and I are training her!"
