The Indoril Hireling is a Dark Elf traveler and member of House Indoril who can be encountered in the Telvanni Peninsula. He is being attacked by a blue Tenderfoot Cliff Strider. You can kill it during the encounter, for which he thanks you, though you ultimately cannot save him from the next Cliff Strider.

Dialogue

The random encounter involves an Indoril Hireling being intimidated by a Cliff Strider in the Telvanni Peninsula.

The hireling will cry out:

Indoril Hireling: "Help! Someone. Anyone!"

After you save him, he will thank you:

Indoril Hireling: "You saved my life! Next time, I'll keep an eye out for cliff striders."

However, immediately after this, another Cliff Strider swoops in and kills him.

• The encounter is a reference to the high amounts of Cliff Racers in Morrowind that would swoop in and kill low-level players.
