Dark Elves have been disappearing along the road to Narsis, near the western mountains. An incursion of Orcs may be responsible. I offered a Dark Elf scout my assistance.
Quick Walkthrough[edit]
- Find the contract in Malak's Maw.
- Report to Vartis Dareel.
Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
Vartis Dareel's nix-hounds are nervous. They smell Orcs in the pass. He asks you to find a copy of their orders.
Inside the camp you find a contract absolving the Orc chieftain of his Daggerfall Covenant crimes. The king agrees to give him Malak's Maw for the amount of Dark Elves he kills.
Return to Vartis for a reward.

Finishes Quest | Journal Entry |
The Dark Elf Scout Vartis asked me to acquire a copy of the orders the Orcs are following. I need to find out who they are, that they want, and who sent them to Deshaan.
Objective: Read Orders
Hidden Objective: Read Orders x4
|
|
The Orc orders implied some kind of agreement made between the Orcs and their instigators. I should search for this contract.
Objective: Retrieve the Contract
|
|
I learned a great deal about the Oathbound Orcs and the reasons they were sent to Deshaan. I should report to Vartis Dareel.
Objective: Talk to Vartis Dareel

* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g.,

) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
