- The Spectral Cloak set from Blackrose Prison will reduce your damage taken when you use this ability.
Patch Notes[edit]
- Sparks:
- This ability has been removed, and replaced with a new ability: Blade Cloak.
- When activated, Blade Cloak reduces area of effect damage taken by the caster by 20% for 15 seconds. Whenever the caster takes area of effect damage, this ability will deal damage to all nearby enemies. Blade Cloak can only fire once every 3 seconds.
- Quick Cloak: This ability provides the buff Major Expedition for 5 seconds.
- Deadly Cloak: When cast, this ability allows you to throw a dagger that deals high damage. This ability can only be used once, and only within ten seconds of the cast.
- Fixed an issue where this ability and its morphs were not dealing their final tick of damage; they will now tick 6 times over their full duration instead of just 5 times.
- Deadly Cloak: Redesigned this morph so it no longer grants a thrown knife on activation; instead, it increases the area of effect damage by 70%.
- Fixed an issue where some weapon abilities (Blade Cloak, Volley, and Wall of Elements) could not proc Weapon Enchantments.
- Adjusted the order of the Active Abilities in this skill line. They now unlock in the following order:
- Flurry
- Twin Slashes
- Whirlwind
- Blade Cloak
- Hidden Blade
- Deadly Cloak: Reduced the damage done by this morph by approximately 15%.
- This ability and its morphs now grant Major Evasion.
- Quick Cloak: This ability now grants Major Expedition for a maximum of 4 seconds instead of 5 seconds.
- Fixed an issue with this ability and its morphs where you could fail to get the damage or any other bonuses provided. * You will now always get the pulsing damage and any other bonuses, even if the Major Evasion fails to apply due to having a longer duration bonus existing.
- Fixed an issue where these abilities were being treated as both a DoT and as Direct Damage. They will now properly be treated as Damage over Time, and scale with Thaumaturge, rather than Master at Arms. This means it will also no longer proc things that state "When dealing Melee damage".
- Deadly Cloak: Increased the damage of this morph by approximately 4% so that it properly gains 50% damage compared to the other morph.
- This ability has shifted into an AoE DoT category, rather than focusing on being a buff first.
- Decreased the duration to 8 seconds from 15 seconds.
- Reduced the cost to 3024 from 3510.
- Decreased the damage per tick by approximately 5%, but increased the tick frequency to 2 seconds from 3 seconds.
- Quick Cloak: On top of granting Major Expedition for 4 seconds, this morph now also extends the duration to 10 seconds from 8 seconds, which ranks up to 12 seconds.
- Deadly Cloak: This morph no longer deals increased damage per tick, but instead deals damage every second.
- Increased the base duration of this ability and its morphs to 10 seconds, up from 8.
- Increased base cost to 4950, up from 3024.
- Reduced the damage per tick by approximately 18%.
- Quick Cloak (morph): This morph now also offers cost reduction, taking the base cost to 3780.
- Reduced the cost of this ability and its morphs to 3780, down from 4950.
- Deadly Cloak: Reduced the visual and audio effects of this ability to once every 2 seconds, rather than every second, to make it less obnoxious. Note that it will still deal damage every second.
- Increased the damage done by this ability and its morphs by approximately 25% to better reward its requirement to stay stacked on your foe, as well as to help offset the loss of effectiveness on proccing enchants and sets with the changes to Deadly Cloak.
- Deadly Cloak (morph): This ability now deals double damage instead of doubling the tick rate. This will result in a ~9% damage increase, but will require you to stick to your target more and has less of a chance to proc other effects.
- This ability and its morphs now last for 20 seconds, up from 10.
- Increased the damage per tick of this ability and Quick Cloak by approximately 7%.
- Quick Cloak (morph): This morph now adds 10 seconds to the duration, up from 4.
- Deadly Cloak (morph): Reduced the damage per tick of this morph by approximately 41%.
