Quest-Related Events[edit]
Accepting the quest from Sanctius:
- "I'll never see him again. Paratus is lost to me forever!"
- "In this City full of woe, surely losing one's son ranks among the worst of all ills."
- "My son, he's all I have left. And I'll never see him again."
- "You there. You must have a story. I doubt it is as dark and full of pain as mine.
I've lost my son. I don't know if he's alive or dead. I'm sure he thinks me dead." - Can I help?
- "My son and I were captured, dragged to the Arena. This horrible woman with a snake body … penetrated our minds. Forced us to fight and kill the innocent. We tried to escape, but they sent a massive ogrim after us."
- (?)
- "My son attacked the ogrim and yelled at me to flee. To my shame, I did, pursued by lesser monsters.
If he still lives, he probably thinks I'm dead. We agreed to meet here, so here I'll wait until I know for sure." - If I find him, should I send him here?
- "Please. Once I'm healed, I want to leave the City. Paratus disagrees, but I hope to persuade him. We shall see."
- I'll look for him.
Speaking to him after accepting the quest:
- "Thank you for offering to look for Paratus. You have no idea what this means to me."
After finishing the quest:
- "With Paratus back, I now have reason to live. Once I'm better, we'll find a way out of the City and leave this war behind."
- "Thank you for finding Paratus—you gave my son back to me!"
- "You've done a wonderful thing, friend. My son means the world to me."
- "The Divines bless you for finding Paratus! I only hope I can convince him to stay."
