Scalded Roots

Scalded Roots is a red spriggan found in Earthen Root Enclave. She is the dungeon's first side boss. To summon her, you must light all three bonfires in the starting area of the dungeon. Lighting each one will cause enemies to spawn and attack you. Once the final bonfire is lit, the sky will turn an ominous red and a firey mote will lead you to Scalded Roots. The mote will then inhabit the dormant spriggan, and the battle will begin.

Defeating her will grant your group the Scalded Strength buff.

Skills and Abilities[edit]

Fireball: Throws a fireball at whichever player it is aggravated on. This fireball does some direct damage and then spawns a small fire AoE underneath the player that was hit. The player who was hit must gradually move around to avoid taking too much damage from these AoEs, and the rest of the group should be wary of this and avoid standing next to the them.

Meteors: Throws fire meteors at random players in the group. Deals high damage but is not lethal in one shot, and can be countered by healing.
Cleave: A small conal cleave attack in the area in front of her.
Summon Fire Wolves: Fire wolves are spawned throughout the fight. These do not do much damage and can be taunted, and can be dealt with by using AoE damage skills.
