You first meet her when she comes to report to Captain Landare:

Sergeant Artinaire: "Captain Landare!"

Captain Landare: "Artinaire? Report!"

Sergeant Artinaire: "It's the Daedra, Captain. They've returned, in force!"

Sergeant Artinaire: "We've been overrun. I barely made it back. We—"

Captain Landare: "Arti, what happened?"

Sergeant Artinaire: "They're back, Captain. The patrols may not last long."

Captain Landare: "Curse this town!"

The Captain will send you to help. Talking to the sergeant after this, she'll say:

"If you can, find my patrol first. They're directly east of here. Somewhere."

After you helped the marines, she runs up to you with:

Sergeant Artinaire: "Thank the gods. I found you."

Finding out that Landare needs help:

"Thank the Divines I found you.
You need to find Landare. She's in over her head."

What happened?

"One of the patrols returned—thanks to you—and mentioned a cave entrance to the northeast. Landare couldn't wait. She took some mer and they left for the caves."

She couldn't wait for more help?

"She's always been this way. I'm worried she's in over her head.
Help her, please. Maybe you can strap her fool head to her shoulders.

I'll find her, Sergeant. Don't worry.

Speaking to her again before helping out the captain, she'll say:

"I hope you find her."

After you saved the town, she'll thank you:

"So many of the Marines made it back. Thanks to you."
