Oraneth gives you a tour of the shrine of the Green Lady, the most sacred site in Deepwoods.

The Shrine of the Green Lady

The shrine of the Green Lady is in the tree in the city's center. Some say it is the grave of the first Green Lady, and others say it is the Green Lady herself.

The Falls

The next holy site is the falls where the current Green Lady, Gwaering, saved her friend. Oraneth reveals the tale in a way that will allow you to see it for yourself. She also warns you of werewolves and Houndsmen in the area. The falls are southeast of the shrine of the Green Lady.

Gwaering and Ulthorn, her friend, often played at the falls when they were children. One day, when the pair were about to be attacked by senche-tigers, Gwaering picked up a bone and growled at them until they ran off. Ulthorn was ashamed of his inaction, but he was also proud of his friend's actions.

The Archery Range

The next site is the archery range. Young Gwaering practiced with her friend Ulthorn and her sister Lanwaen there. Her aunt Finoriell, the previous Green Lady, saw Gwaering's talent at archery and decided she would be the next Green Lady. Gwaering never missed, and her arrows split Ulthorn's arrows in two when he challenged her. Oraneth reveals that Gwaering and Ulthorn had been betrothed as children, but he had to stand aside when Gwaering became the Green Lady.

Back to the Village

You go back to the village. Oraneth says Gwaering's greatest achievement took place there. Gwaering was revealed as the next Green Lady when she came to pray at the shrine of the Green Lady.

Notes

• Unlike most quest followers, if Oraneth disappears when you leave Deepwoods and come back, instead of reappearing near you she will be back at the Green Lady's statue in the village and you must start the tour all over again.
• While Oraneth mentions a cave containing senche near the waterfall, no such thing is located there.
