If you choose to follow Reesa's plan in Through the Aftermath. He will participate in a plan to sacrifice his life to restore the Starved Plains. After collecting the Kwama cap and speaking to Reesa, you will give him a piece of the cap for the ritual:

"I stand ready to assist Reesa"
