Pjofr Ice-Blade is one of the many people who have taken up the mantle of the legendary thief known as the Gray Fox.
When first meeting him, his name is simply Stranger. After he gives the cowl to you, his name is revealed. This is a reference to the Gray Cowl's ability to magically conceal identities.

Dialogue[edit]
- The Gray Fox! It's an honor to meet you, sir.
- "My joy knows no bounds. Here. A little payment for your troubles."
- So you were the Gray Fox all along. I trust you'll keep your end of the bargain?
- "Of course."
- I don't care if you're the Gray Fox or a pink zombie. Give me what I came for.
- "Of course."
- I did better than well. Not that it should surprise you.
- "True enough."
- I had some trouble, but it was worth it for the cowl.
- "True enough."
- "I trust we'll never need to speak of this again... to anyone."
Notes[edit]
- His name is likely derived from the Old Norse word þjófr, meaning "thief', except the creator seems to have mistakenly identified the letter þ (known as "thorn" and pronounced as the "th" in "thorn") as a "p". A more correct spelling would thus have been Thjofr.
- Pjofr and his nephew will walk out of Riften and disappear from the game after passing the city gates once the quest is completed.
