The perk to make heavy armor is not the same as the perk to improve heavy armor[edit]
The Indoril Armor and Her Hand Armor can be made with Elven Smithing, but the improvement is only half as good as Elven or Chitin. I have up to Advanced Armors and Dwarven Smithing, and neither of those matches the heavy armor of this creation. Is this a bug? What if I got Ebony Smithing and tried to improve it?
