Skyrim talk:Mora Tapinella
The UESPWiki – Your source for The Elder Scrolls since 1995
Meaning of the name[edit]
The name of this fungus appears to be a compound of part Ayleidoon and part botanical. Mora being Ayleidoon for wood/ forest (reflects where they are found) and Wikipedia - Tapinella being a genus of three fungi in the Tapinellaceae family. In binomial nomenclature it would typically be written as Tapinella mora with Tapinella the genus and mora the species. All botanical names as fully capitalized in Skyrim to match common names. Comparing the images of both Skyrim and actual Tapinella specimens (see main page and wiki link) appear to confirm the similarity and origin. Lunamoonraker (talk) 16:30, 15 August 2014 (GMT)
- Good research! Unfortunately, unless there's hard evidence, we can't put it on the page. – Robin Hood (talk) 23:20, 15 August 2014 (GMT
- Thanks. I understand it only touches on lore and is not verifiable. It is more just for background detail and posted here to share with others. Lunamoonraker (talk) 01:00, 20 August 2014 (GMT)
