not really needed[edit]

This camp is only there during the related quest after that its gone, do we really need it? (Eddie The Head 13:40, 26 November 2011 (UTC))

It's part of a quest line (the whole thing about the Imperials versus the Stormcloaks is a major plot in the game), it shows up on the map and the compass, I say yes. Plus, it has a cooking spit and an alchemy lab, and two horses you can ride without stealing them. BTW, it's located due south of Graywinter Watch and the Ritual Stone. 68.127.231.210 22:56, 27 November 2011 (UTC)
Actually, this camp is present before the related quest, as well. I was able to enter the camp and interact with the people and objects contained, including Hjornskar Head-Smasher, at level 9 after having just killed the first dragon. I hadn't even started the quest yet. I'm pretty positive it's around from the beginning of the game up until you complete the quest. By this, I believe it is necessary to have a page for it, since completing the main quest is (technically) optional, so how long it stays around can vary greatly. Also, as the person before me said, there are some interesting things in the camp, temporary or not. --Zmedaris 10:15, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

Very buggy[edit]

I did the peace treaty, completed the main quest, then sided with the stormcloaks in the civil war.

Some time later on my quest to visit every marked location in the game (and following an unofficial guide map to do so) I came upon this camp. It is unmarked ingame for me, and instead of any Legion or Stormcloak soldiers there were two hunters. Along with the hunters were a number of things usually seen in hunter camps; A cooking spit with meat over the fire, a rack for hanging rabbits from, and pelts. Oddly, there is a table that looks like it's supposed to have one of those territory maps with the blue and red flags sticking out of it. The flags are there and interactive, but the map itself is missing, and laying on the table there were animal pelts, which had the little map flags sticking out of them because of where they had been placed. — Unsigned comment by 75.34.55.137 (talk) at 06:35 on 26 January 2012 (UTC)

Ridiculous to make camp commanders constantly essential[edit]

It is totally ridiculous to make the commanders of camps like these essential after the quest they are connected to is resolved. Here I am wandering around after finishing the main quest and the civil war quest, on the side of the Imperials, and I was told to wipe out any remaining Stormcloak camps that I could find. Sensible enough. But I can't wipe the camps out because the camp commanders are immortal! I dealt with the situation here by disabling the commander, clicking on him in the console and using the command markfordelete, saving, and reloading the save, which made him disappear. But what if you're not playing on a PC? By the end of the civil war questline, at the latest, all camp commanders should lose their essential status. --174.6.51.17 00:26, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
