Hagiographa
A summary of Cyrodiilic saints

The Animal Saints

Saint Ormus

Ormus was a pig prophet of Sancre Tor, said to appear with sage wisdom to heroes in times of great consequence, including Chevalier Renald and Hjalmer son-of-Vrage. Like many saints associated with the holy temple-city of Sancre Tor, Ormus's presence is attested at many key moments in history, often centuries apart. Patron of honorable quests and fateful meetings.

Saint Dex

Dex is said to have been a donkey who delivered food and medicine to the people of Sutch during the Camoran Usurper's siege of the city, ascending the spire under cover of darkness, before being martyred when the city finally fell. He is often depicted with a heavy pack, laden with supplies. Patron of calm in the face of danger.

Saint Colobus

Ancient tales describe Colobus as a tiny crab who used his cunning and wit to winkle larger and grander shells out of the other crabs of the sea, until his own shell was so enormous it rose above the waves. Patron of property, mercantalism, prisons, and the new dawn at sea. Colobus is often depicted as a jewel-encrusted crab with a large golden claw.

Saint Jeniric

A minor saint of Kvatch from the Interregnum, Jeniric was a goose who alerted the guards on the walls to a nighttime attack by Wood Elf raiders by honking loudly until the garrison was roused. Jeniric's owner, a local farmer, was rewarded with a sack of gold, and Jeniric himself ate at the table of the King himself for the rest of his life. Patron of night guards and lookouts.

Saint Akial

Often depicted as a placid, friendly street dog. By tradition, Akial is considered the first Mananaut. Patron of one-way trips.

The Emperor Saints

Saint Ami-El

Mysterious, anonymous, and first of the Emperor-Saints, Ami-El is patron of the deification of Emperors, and thus presides over all forms of Emperor-worship. He (or she) is the protector spirit of the Temple of the One, which is said to have been founded on the grave of Alessia, and guards the Dragonfire geas and rituals later instated by Reman Cyrodiil.

Saint Belharza

Firstborn of All-Saint Alessia and her consort, the god Morihaus, Belharza the Man-Bull served as the second Emperor, and permanently established the frontiers of Cyrodiil. As a living icon of honor, justice, and purity, he is revered by man and minotaur alike for confirming the first holy pacts between the two races.

Saint Goreath

Goreath, or Goreius, is said to have ruled as Emperor for more than four centuries in the First Era, before ceding the throne to his daughter Hestra and wandering into the wilderness. For many years thereafter, Goreath lived as a humble wanderer, atoning for the sins of his reign and making pilgrimage to many holy sites. Patron of travelers and storytellers.

Saint Hestra

Empress and popular Legion saint, patron of road-builders and maintainers. Red Hestra's bloodshed is sometimes upheld as an example of atrocities performed for a righteous cause. The interplay between savage blood-thirst and high civilization is her domain.

Saint Pelagius (the PIOUS)

Grandson of Tiber Septim, Pelagius I was blessed with great wisdom and piety. Pelagius' peaceful reign saw the confirmation and entrenchment of his grandsire's Imperial order, and the formal recognition of Tiber Imperator's ascension to the divinity of the Nine as Talos. Patron of conclaves and royal martyrs.

Saint Kintyra (the PATRON or the DANCER)

Kintyra I is revered for her divinely-inspired great public works, which brought joy and life to the people of her Empire. Patron of tattooists, actresses, and dancers in the Nibenese tradition.

Saint Uriel (the LAWMAKER or the GENTLE)

Uriel I, kindly and good-hearted, swept away centuries of arcane and contradictory Cyrod law, replacing it with the Lex Imperii, a divinely inspired code of justice that forms the basis of Imperial law and order to this day. Patron of barristers, magistrates, and jurists.

Saint Kintyra (the INFANT)

Short-lived Empress and martyr of the War of the Red Diamond, Kintyra II ruled briefly and justly in a time of immense challenge. Patron of untested rulers and prisoners.

Saint Cephorus

Cephorus I ably knit together the Empire after the ravages of the War of the Red Diamond, delivering justice and mercy in equal measure. He is revered by the Legions for his relentless commitment to order, his famed steadfastness, and his resolute piety. Patron of stewards, generals, and peace by force.

The Strident Coast

Saint Naharine

A shield-maiden of the earliest Shore-King dynasty, Naharine became the sworn protector of the village which would become the great city of Anvil. She is honored in that realm as the custodian of its many waterways.

Saint Aberdar

Aberdar, a merchant of the early Estates, established the run of the Gold Road from Cyrodiil City to the shores of the Abecean, and is today honored by merchants and traders who ply that route.

Saint Bendu

As West King of Anvil in the First Era, Bendu Olo forged an alliance with the elven hero-god Syrabane against the Sload, uniting half a hundred peoples beneath the banners of the All Flags Navy and toppling the first Pillar of Thras. He is honored today as a patron of diversity, sacred pacts, and righteous vengeance.

Saint Milica

Originally the patron saint of Mischarstette and the Shore-King dynasty, Milica is now a good-luck saint presiding over the reefs and isles of the inner Abecean Sea. She protects sailors and fishermen from wreckage, dreugh, and wild animals.

Saint Al-Khered

Al-Khered was a warrior of the western Nedic tribes in the earliest days of the Alessian Rebellion. She is the patron of Nibenese merchants who do business in Colovia.

Saint Laeca

Laeca witnessed an incarnation of Dibella while wandering barefoot on the shores of the Abecean Sea. The avatar created for her a series of ivory sculptures of great beauty from sea foam. Patron of sculptors.

Saint Amiel

Admiral Amiel Richton served Emperor Tiber Septim in his wars of conquest, commanding the Imperial Navy through many trials. He is the patron of the modern West Navy, the oldest and most storied of the cardinal fleets.
