Clambering Moor, [-9,-11] |
Saros Mine is a lich's lair, bursting to the brim with the risen dead.
The entrance lies in the cliffside to the immediate west of Fort Firemoth. The lich, Grurn, who is responsible for the Saros Archipelago's current sorry state resides in the Sunken Tower section on the lowest level. As part of the quest Siege at Firemoth you will need to descend into the mine's deepest reaches and slay the lich for good.
The Khajiit, J'Hanir, is the sole living resident of the mines until the undead are cleared, and will accompany you if asked. He has sought sanctuary at the easternmost point of the Lower Level.
Unusually, the mine contains two types of ore - Ebony and Glass, with the Glass appearing on the upper levels, and Ebony appearing on the lower. Control of these lucrative resources proves a sticking point during Firemoth Rekindled, with the Great Houses on Vvardenfell all desiring their share.
