Yontus Kushuumu is a Dark Elf merchant first encountered during the East Empire Company quest Tough Customer, where he has entered the East Empire Company building in Old Ebonheart seeking his gold. His complaint, while angrily delivered, is acknowledged by EEC officer Quilmaro as valid, although Yontus will leave the building before any compensation (or promise of such) can be delivered.
It later transpires that Yontus is an Ashlander who has grown rich rather suddenly, being one of Marki the Shark's secret trading contacts in the lands of Indoril Ilvi, and with a good eye for collectibles that will sell well in western markets. This connection with the East Empire Company does not serve Yontus well however, as his Orc companion, Yak gro-Yam, quickly betrays it when the two are taken captive by the smuggler, Sarrugi Sentishi during Art of the Deal. Sarrugi subsequently removes Yontus's tongue, and Yak abandons him on being freed.
After the Art of the Deal, the injured Yontus will move to the Infirmary of St. Meris in Almas Thirr, collapsing onto a bed. He is not entirely forgotten by the company that he once worked with, and EEC representative Quilmaro will suggest checking in with him.
He wears an expensive shirt, a pair of extravagant pants, a pair of extravagant shoes, an extravagant belt, an extravagant ring, and an evil eye charm. He wields a silver shortsword and carries 108 gold.
Aside from his natural resistance to fire and the sanctuary provided by his ancestors, he knows the following spells: Enrichment, Great Heal Companion, Resist Poison, Resist Shock, and Vigor.

- Greetings:
- "%PCRace! Swinespawn of the East Empire Company, a thousand plagues upon your house! Where are you deceitful little miscreants hiding my gold?"
- I'm sorry, but I don't know. I can't help you.:
- "Oh, of course not! I don't think there's a single wretch in this building of yours who CAN help me! I will simply have to look elsewhere for my help. Indeed, perhaps an Imperial lawyer from the Guild of Barristers will be able to render unto me the help I need. Excuse me." Goodbye (Disposition -10)
- Let me check in the back and see if we have your gold.:
- "Oh. Of course you wouldn't have the gold *on* you. I am not a fool. This is expected. Go on. Please retrieve my gold from your 'back'. But do not take too long, or I will have an Imperial lawyer from the Guild of Barristers fetch it for me." Goodbye
- Thank you for your patience. The factor is ready to see you and discuss this matter.:
- "Oh. The factor wants to see me? Of course I appreciate being taken seriously enough to see the factor, but I believe I have already made my point by now. Goodbye." Goodbye
- (If you said you would help him):
- "I'm waiting." Goodbye
- (If he's walking out the door):
