Do we want news stories like this?[edit]

I’m a bit unsure if we want news stories like this? Our articles for unreleased/upcoming games usually contains 100% confirmed information, but this seems like unimportant gossip - and it's on the main page. Where to draw the line? Do we want to be a rumor mill? --Krusty 17:45, 31 May 2012 (UTC)

I think it's somewhat notable, but I don't know if it's very important. They haven't trademarked any of the other months, and it's definitely TES-related. Could be used in TES:ON, could be an expansion or DLC, etc. A lot of other sites seem to find it important as well. Perhaps it will be used, perhaps not. Vely►Talk►Email 17:59, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
I agree with Velyanthe. This might just be their legal team tying up loose ends; it may be the beginning of something very important. Plus, we go for long stretches without any news stories, so it's nice to have at least some new news, even if it isn't the most relevant information in the world.
Edit: I don't know much about the patenting process, but under the "Goods and/or Services" of the patent application it says,
"Computer game software for use with computers and video game consoles; downloadable computer game software offered via the internet and wireless devices"
I don't know if this is a generic statement or if this is specifically hinting towards DLC. • JATalk 18:20, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
Problem is, it is guesswork at best – and we revert guesswork from all our articles. Our last rumor was this one and it turned out to be true – but it linked to an extensive article, not just some rumor mill with 177 Facebook-likes worldwide. I’m all for the occasional news story, I’m just asking where we should draw the line. --Krusty 18:33, 31 May 2012 (UTC)

() I picked Fusible because there were a ton to choose from. It could easily be removed, though, since we have the USPTO link on there.

I don't understand how this is guesswork when the trademark has been filed for and is shown on a government website. I can understand if you think it's unimportant, but it's only guesswork if we say "hey look, it could be a new game!" Vely►Talk►Email 18:48, 31 May 2012 (UTC)

Did we do the story on when zenimax registered www.elderscrollsonline.com or the other domain back in 2007? That seems like more of a story than this, and you see how long it took them to actually announce and do anything with it. Perhaps wait until official press releases for things like that. Shouldn't it be "Hearthfire"?[edit]

When looking at the USPTO website directly it states "Hearthfire", instead of "Heart Fire" as stated in the article. When looking at the wikipages here, both spellings are commonly used. However, because the trademark has the name without a space, I think we should refer it here without a space in the name too. -CoolGamer 19:28, 31 May 2012 (UTC)

Picture?[edit]

The oft-linked-to patent application shows a picture of what was trademarked. The picture is here. Should we display it in the news article, or is that too much/unnecessary? • JATalk 23:53, 31 May 2012 (UTC)
