You should have locked that Eye away when you had the chance. You should have remembered the costs of the Wars with the Trees. If you took things into your own hands, no one would have found where it belonged, and we wouldn't all be in this mess. The true purpose of the xanmeers would have simply... faded into obscurity. One of those funny little footnotes like with what happened to the Sygria.
But no, some stupid adventures seeking glory just had to wake them, typical. I've been doing my best to watch the whole thing. I thought I'd send you this missive as a... little courtesy.
So after they "woke up" they naturally immediately made their way to Morrowind. While I bear no specific ill-will for the lizards, I am not surprised. They managed to avoid crushing any of the Argonian settlements in their path and began laying waste to my homeland. I needn't go into specifics, as I'm sure you get the idea of how they went about doing that. But before they reached too far north, the city of Mournhold and a large chunk of southern Vvardenfell completely disappeared. No doubt a last ditch effort by the Three taking a page from your playbook. They next set their glowy sights on Cyrodiil and began stomping their way over there.
Back in Black Marsh things have been rough as well as you would expect. The Hist themselves are apparently panicking, which is causing many of the tribes to follow suit. The Pact has been trying to provide refuge for outsiders in the former sites of the xanmeers, but many deep Black Marsh tribes have decided now was their time to try and drive out the outsiders. A particularly large amount of Sarpa even decided to take wing join the seige in Cyrodiil. Speaking of Cyrodiil, I just heard the meager forces there lost their last Mothships. You'd think the Cyrodiils would remember how it went last time, the constructs certainly remembered how to use their point-defense beams.
Needless to say, they will set their sight on the Isles eventually. They clearly are in the business of settling old grudges. I will attempt to contact Sotha Sil, but I fear he may have taken this opportunity to shut off his City completely. If that proves to be the case, I fear you may have to pull that old box out of storage, may the Eight have mercy. -DF
