Need help to flag pages[edit]

You're marked as a mentor, so I suppose I can ask you my basic newbie questions, right? So, how do I flag a page?--Max Welrod 03:38, 7 August 2009 (UTC) (sorry, forgot to sign the first time)

There are many different types of "flags" (templates, notices, etc.) that can be used on an article, for many different reasons. What are you wanting to flag? --GKTalk2me 03:42, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

Good to see you back :)[edit]

It's good to see you back on the recent changes page on a regular basis again. I hope everything is working out for you. -Dlarsh(Talk,Contribs) 01:13, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Mazoga the Orc[edit]

According the the documentation, using 'altname=Mazoga the Orc' in the NPC summary should remove the '(person)' suffix from the category listings - I assume that was what you were trying to achieve. however, altname doesn't appear to be used at all in the NPC summary template, so it does nothing. I investigate further if I get time. --Gaebrial 07:08, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

You can't get rid of the '(person)' suffix. Categories list page names so it's always going to be present. The altname param doesn't work because I screwed up. I've added back a corrected version so it should work now. –rpehTCE 07:54, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I wasn't thinking too straight there with the DEFAULTSORT. It wasn't entirely important, I just think it could be nice for some categories. –Elliot talk 17:52, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Unmarked Cave Revision[edit]

The door remaining locked does not necessarily imply that you will be trapped in the cave. The stone passages will not open after they have already closed when you moved through them, in essence, trapping you inside of the cave for all eternity. -- KFM

Tl Template[edit]

Thanks for fixing the {{Tl}} template docs. I'm hoping to add the other variants tomorrow. —Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 03:51, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Can you mentor me :)[edit]

I was wondering if there's a shortcut for replying to questions. For example, if the header reads Guards Fighting, in your edit summary you have to state /* Guards Fighting */ reply. Is there a shortcut for that? I'm inclined to say yes, because when I see anons doing everything wrong (no signature, no formatting etc.), they still are able in their edit summaries to specify which section they edited, which is more difficult to do than signing for example. The only way I've been able to do it is by clicking the "edit" tab to the rigtht of the section header. This brings you to to a page to edit just the section in question, rather than the whole page. It also adds the section title to your edit summary automatically. -Dlarsh(Talk,Contribs) 14:51, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
Thanks Dlarsh! I always open up the whole page for editing, instead of the section. Can't believe I didn't think of that. Wolok gro-Barok->T->C->E 15:00, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
Glad to be of service :). -Dlarsh(Talk,Contribs) 15:01, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Hey, I've seen people with Oblivion people pictures and I'm wondering how do I get one as my picture on my proflie. Like S'drassa has the Oblivion picture of S'drassa on his profile. I want High Chancellor Ocato's picture on my profile, can you tell me how to do that, please? PATE KNUCKLEHEAD 22:13, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

Daggerfall status[edit]

My craptop crapped out after my return from the golf tourney, and so I had to spend the last few days repairing the hardware. Some data was lost, which means I need to re-write some code. I'll let you know when I'm ready. --Uniblab 21:35, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
