A policy reminder[edit]
Greetings. Thanks for being a good sport and maintaining the wiki. Just as a reminder, please don't edit other people's comments on talk pages unless you're fixing a link. --Uniblab 21:42, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
Advice[edit]
Hi Kri-Dar. Could you please refrain from making comments like this? Such comments never help to improve the wiki, and do not fit well into our Etiquette. Thanks in advance. --Timenn-<talk> 10:40, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
Yeah no problem --Kri-Dar 20:38, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
Adding the Name to Welcome Posts[edit]
Although I understand the polite gesture you are trying to create for the new user, editing other people's comments on talk pages is typically frowned upon. Whoever welcomes the user is entitled to do with it what they wish, but changing anything in it is seen as "toe stomping", if you will. If you think everyone should always have the name, then go ahead and suggest it! Suggestions are great ways to help the site out. But please avoid altering comments in the future ;) Thanks! –Elliot talk 12:37, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
- That SerCenKing did it to mine yesterday, what makes him so special? --Kri-Dar 12:43, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

- As policy states: Minor corrections of other editors' contributions is acceptable, for example indenting a comment or fixing a link if a page is moved. Just like I did to your comment just now. Whenever you edit someone else's actual comments, you potentially change their original meaning, which could lead to some bad things if someone took it the wrong way. –Elliot talk 12:47, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
- You're right, Kri-Dar. SercenKing shouldn't have altered your welcome message. You are right to be confused. While adding the user's name to the welcome post might be beneficial, it's up to the person who welcomes to decide. I'll revert SercenKing's edit.
