Hey!!!! Welcome to UESPWiki. It's always good to have a new pair of hands. By the way you should add ALL Ideas before posting an idea. Not just one, then save. Okay?
If you, on the other hand, would like to spice up your userpage, take a look at this link:
- Userboxes: near complete list of userboxes, including a guide to make your own
When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our patrollers really appreciate it!).
Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox and don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors if you need any help. Have fun! --Shianni 14:04, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
Please, No! I'll do anything! i'll go on a killing spree in the imperial city with the difficulty turned all the way up! Just dont send that idoit after me!--Iamgoofball 16:16, 27 February 2011 (UTC) I actually started making a fanfiction with Kalis Agea. The story is split into 2 parts, one being from the Divine Crusader's point of view(my half)and the other being from the Ayleid Lord's point of view. You can see them here: User:Kalis_Agea/The_Ayleid_Lord and User:Iamgoofball/The_Ayleid_Lord:_The_Crusader's_View--Iamgoofball 06:02, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
Show Preview[edit]
Hey, nice userpage by the way, however could I remind you to use the show preview button. It allows you to see the page, before it is saved and submitted for everyone to see, allowing you to make any adjustments. After patrolling your edits to your roleplaying space i noticed you hadn't been using the show preview button, then in the above welcome, near the end is a note about previewing. Anyway, I hope I'm not putting you off, but please could you use the feature from now on? Thanks - Emoboy64 14:32, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
- Sure thing, I try to use it when I can, but sometimes I just forget :/ --Para01 15:06, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

- Hey, me again, I've noticed you're still not using the preview button. It's not majorly important, but it make my (and other patrollers) jobs the little bit easier. Please can you use it in future, and if you need any help, feel free to ask on my talk page - Emoboy64 19:18, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
I just thought of something funny, I saw how your favorite skill is Block. And I loled. And I thought, "Always Carry Protection". as in a condom. Lol. xD I'm sorry if this was innapropriate. I'm a dirty person. Shianni 18:08, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
- Lol, no worries, nothing is inappropriate to me. I was just experimenting with picture embedding. Can't figure out how to get my userboxes into a column though. Para01 18:13, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
Can't help you with that. Lol. I'm a semi-horrible editor. Fixing Typo's and sometimes failing at THAT. :P Shianni 18:16, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I'm more active over at the Fallout Wiki. I'm usually just here to check on dungeons I'm exploring and to write roleplaying articles. Para01 18:18, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
Edits to your user page[edit]
I reverted the recent changes to your user page. You need to be logged in to make the changes to your user page, just revert my edit if you want to restore the version you worked on (If that was you logged out). --AKB Talk 18:16, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

Your dedication and diligence to the wiki has not gone unnoticed. A user has seen the progress you've made, and has given you a cookie because of it. Good work! The user had the following to say:

A question about your userbox[edit]
I am curious if i could use the one that says that "This user believes Modryn Oreyn should continue to make great works of art." i agree with that userbox, so i am curious if i may use it.--Iamgoofball 00:04, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

Talk Pages are not forums[edit]
this kind of [edit] is inappropriate, it is simply nonsense. Please if you want to talk to your friends on this site about non-wiki related topics, take it to the [forums] or swap e-mails. --AKB Talk Contribs Email 05:11, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
Just a note, we usually don't welcome people until they actually start editing. Considering that User:Automobile08 (The person you just welcomed) turned out to be a spam bot and we have several people create accounts everyday, only to never use it, they are obviously not going to be appreciating the welcome. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 02:58, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
- I would have to disagree. The idea behind welcoming users before they edit would be to spur them to edit if they are thinking about it. It gives them a short guide to get started if they seem overwhelmed. Although is can get a little crazy when welcoming a lot of users, it is certainly not something we want to discourage. - Thanks AKB, I'll think about that from now on, although Elliot does have a point. --The Para 03:23, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

- I have to disagree with you Elliot, welcoming editors before they attempt to contributor should not be the normal protocol, as if it was it would be more practical to simply have a bot do it, (Since we are currently considering getting a bot server as shown by Daveh's talk page, this may actually be a practical idea, you could ask there I guess if you wish) it also adds a bit of unwanted clutter to recent changes. More importantly, there is little practical purpose as we clearly advertise UESPWiki:Getting Started and the help files on the sidebar, which is plenty of guidance for newcomers, I believe welcoming editors is intended to inform new members of the community that we recognize there efforts to help out, and to remove any chance that they don't have access to the proper information to contribute. Finally, many users never contribute or never contribute positively, welcoming them serves no purpose. I admit a few people might be confused on how to contribute or are too intimidated to start, which may be helped by them receiving a proper welcome, however there is no reason to welcome an editor when they may just be a spam bot, like Automobile08 as they obviously won't care. Also this would still be better handled by a bot as that would keep it off of recent changes, while also allowing us to welcome everyone who joined. It makes even less sense to only welcome some people who never help out than none at all, so unless we can get a bot to do this (I'm not actually sure how we would go about having a bot do this, but I'd imagine that it would be possible) I see no purpose to this. I admit there have been instances where I welcomed someone ahead of time, but that is mainly when I expect a useful anon to join or I invited someone onto the site as I anticipate them helping out, so I might as well give them the extra guidance. Though there is no standing policy on this issue (At least that I am aware of), this has been the more common route of handling new users joining and when to welcome them.

- Too summarize, it really doesn't help out that much too be welcoming new users before they contribute. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 03:29, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

- I'm not so sure. This has been discussed before, and the general consensus is that it won't hurt anyone to welcome more people. AKB, you sound like me two years ago. Elliot (talk) 03:42, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

- You both have good points, and it could go either way. It doesn't seem like a topic worth being dragged out into a lengthy debate however. While it may get people to start editing, it would also cause some congestion of the recent changes. the current system works fine, and I don't see why we should fix what isn't broken. --The Para 03:45, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
A question.[edit]
Could you teach me how to make something like this? (I found it on your user page and copied so that I could figure it out.) --Iamgoofball 05:46, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
Actually I copied it from someone elses page and changed the quote, I suppose you can do the same. --The Para 05:51, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

Bit of friendly advice[edit]
Hey there! Good work so far! I just wanted to point your attention towards a few things before you get too far in the process:
- The way you handled the quest info for this NPC is actually pretty neat but, unfortunately, not the way it is done. In 99% of the pages we put the quest info in the introdoctury section (you know, after the name, race and birthsign). The few instances where we use the other technique is for the gigantic NPCs with 5+ quests and so on.
- Another user, Emoboy64, is already working on Herminia Cinna – I haven’t seen him in a while, but before you get too busy, let me contact him and check if you can use his info.
All the best! --Krusty 08:18, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
- Hey! I'll be more than happy for you to finish Herminia off. I'll do as much as I can, but without a copy of the game for my Xbox anymore, it wont be that very much. Give me the weekend at the most to finish what i can, then we'll go from there - Emoboy64 14:16, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

- Thanks for the info guys! I'll see what I can do about that format you told me about. --The Para 20:24, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

- Ok, I've just put my sandbox into yours. There isn't much work left to do, mainly in-game checking and the house to write. I'll be happy to see this NPC finished, regardless weather I can put anymore input into it or not. Good luck in finishing Herminia off - Emoboy64 11:36, 14 May 2011 (UTC)

- Sure thing, go for it. --The Para 21:15, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
