The trap is set, the advertisement posted. They'll come. They will have to. Even now, my mind stretches across the estate. Even nook, every cranny. My power may be centralized in this... ethereal body, but my true self is Castle Thorn. I am its doors, its windows, its crevices. And with the life force taken from each peasant that comes through my threshold, my insight grows. I will find Lady Thorn's final secret. The plan within the plan within the plan. This "sea of spires" will not elude me. Not when I have time.
The heart. The heart of the house, the heart of myself. Even separated from myself, it still beats. I cannot let it be taken, I cannot let it be destroyed. So long as it beats, I have time. Time to unravel this tomb. Time to find Lady Thorn.
The populace will feed it, there's always adventurers looking for the next great adventure. The right notes, the right notice posted in the dead of night, and they'll come running.
