- Captain Thromkir of the Blackreach Vanguard notes that the few brave enough to venture to Blackreach needed specialized protection early on, so they utilized the wealth of resources around them to craft their own arms and armor. — Crown Store description
Blackreach Vanguard Style is style released with the Greymoor chapter. Motif chapters have a chance to drop from the reward containers for Delve and World Boss daily quests in Western Skyrim and Blackreach: Greymoor Caverns. The associated style material is be Gloomspore Chitin.
The motif was also released in the Crown Store for 4,000 
with the launch of the Greymoor chapter and Update 26 (May 26, 2020 for PC/Mac and June 9, 2020 for console). It was removed from the store on December 6, 2021. The complete motif was added to the All-Maker Crown Crates as a Legendary-level reward starting November 30, 2023.
