Captain Geminus

Captain Geminus is an Imperial archer found in Black Drake Villa. She is a member of the True-Sworn. She acts as the second boss of the dungeon.

Skills and Abilities

Arrow Shot

A basic range attack dealing moderate physical damage.

Arrow Spray

Captain Geminus takes aim and fires a wide spray of arrows at you, dealing very high physical damage, indicated by a large conal AoE in front of her. She will adjust her position for a time if you try to strafe around her to avoid the attack.

Bomb Arrow

Captain Geminus shoots an arrow that explodes on impact, sending out three magical shockwaves outward from the explosion, dealing high magical damage. These don't have AoE indicators.

Mind Rending

Captain Geminus assaults your very mind, as your screen becomes obscured and shadowy, causing continuous massive damage. You must head over to a small magical field that Captain Geminus throws at far away into the arena at the start of this ability to nullify the effect.

Earth Slam

Captain Geminus slams the ground with force, sending out a massive shockwave, dealing high physical damage and knocking you down.

Elemental Onslaught

At 70% and 30% health, Captain Geminus summons a large air atronach into the arena to assist her. As long as the atronach is alive, Captain Geminus is shielded by a magical bubble, making her invulnerable to damage. Additionally, while you fight the atronach, she will fire out waves of fireballs out from all around her position, dealing high flame damage each. These don't have any indicators.

Summon Allies

During the fight, Shades of Geminus will appear on the outer rim of the arena and shoot you with arrows. They have low health and should be killed quickly to simplify the fight. Starting after the first Elemental Onslaught phase, True-Sworn Flame Hounds will also start to get summoned.

Dialogue

When you and Eveli break in, she can be heard speaking with Pyroturge Encratis about the book sought by their cult:

Pyroturge Encratis: "The book isn't here. Burn this—burn it all! Our lord demands it!"

Captain Geminus: "You go. We must finish the job. I can delay these worms."

Eveli Sharp-Arrow: "You take care of Captain Important there. I'm after the fire mage!""

After she sees you, she attacks in an attempt to stop you from chasing Encratis.

Combat Dialogue

Idling before combat:

Captain Geminus: "While you wait, the fires burn all around us!"

Captain Geminus: "The longer you delay, the more certain Encratis will find the book."

Captain Geminus: "Deciding whether to turn back?"

Captain Geminus: "I will bury you among these old books!"

Captain Geminus: "Come, lowly adventurers. Fight the best of the True-Sworn!"

During combat:

Captain Geminus: "Breathe deep and choke on your own weakness!"

Captain Geminus: "The soft part of your skull makes the perfect target."

Captain Geminus: "Your death will bring me great pleasure."

Captain Geminus: "Run, hide, stand, fight …. It doesn't matter!"

Captain Geminus: "Do not run like some base coward!"

Group wipe:

Captain Geminus: "The True-Sworn never fall!"

Captain Geminus: "No one will ever find you down here in the ashes!"
