The Whisperer

The Whisperer is a powerful Spider Daedra that lives deep within Spindleclutch I. It can cause beings that enter the caves to turn on each other. It serves as the second and final boss of Spindleclutch.

Its unique drops are the Spindlecleave and the Whisperwoe. It also has a chance to drop the Goblet Gorget antiquity lead for the Bloodlord's Embrace.

Skills and Abilities

Arachnophobia

As a boss type creature, the Whisperer is immune to all forms of crowd control effects.

Impale

A basic melee attack that does moderate physical damage.

Web Blast

The Whisperer spits a green projectile at a player, doing high physical damage and knocking the player back.

Arachnophobia

The Whisperer spits a blue orb at a player, doing moderate-high magic damage and stunning the player. The player is then snared and also sees many spiders attacking them, but that is only a hallucination. This cannot be blocked.

Grappling Web

The Whisperer pulls everyone in front of it towards itself using webs. This is usually followed by Daedric Explosion.

Daedric Explosion

The Whisperer charges up a large burst of magic around itself that when released deals high magical damage and knocks back as indicated by a red circle. This can be blocked to be staggered instead.

Quest-Related Events

As you progress through the dungeon, you will hear her whisper to you.

When you clear the first area of Spindlekin:

The Whisperer: "Who wanders into my web? More playthings?"

Once you enter into the lair of Swarm Mother:

The Whisperer: "I can taste your delicious fear."

After killing Swarm Mother:

The Whisperer: "Closer, my prey. Closer."

When you enter the cave areas filled with the corrupted Fighters Guild members:

The Whisperer: "Kill them all! No mercy!"

As you're fighting off the corrupted fighters:

The Whisperer: "Misery and death all around. This pleases me!"

As approach closer to her lair and more opposition to be faced:

The Whisperer: "Come to me. Enter my web. Join me, forever."

The Whisperer: "Closer. Come closer. Embrace the darkness."

Once you step into her lair, she will order her thralls to attack you before she comes forward to deal with your group herself:

The Whisperer: "Incorruptible creatures! You dare to defy me! I'll kill you all!"
