Valkynaz Akqoth

Valkynaz Akqoth is a Shardborn Dremora who is one of the leaders involved with the Mirrormoor Incursions plaguing West Weald. He can be encountered in wilds around a Mirrormoor Mosaic performing a ritual to empower the rift, as well as defending the Mirrormoor champion once it is summoned.

Skills & Abilities

As a boss rank enemy, Valkynaz Akqoth is immune to crowd control. He wields a flame staff.

Glass Shards

When alone before the main boss fight, multiple Shard Tornadoes wander about in the zone. They move slowly, dealing very fast ticks of moderate magic damage and knocking back players in an area.

Ritual Glass

When alone before the main boss fight, Valkynaz Akqoth stands in the middle of a zone dealing continuous fast ticks of moderate magic damage and knocking back.

Glass Lightning

When alone before the main boss fight, lightning strikes happen throughout the whole zone, dealing moderate-high magic damage in a small area.

Staff Strike

Basic melee attack dealing moderate-high physical damage.

Flare

Basic ranged attack dealing moderate-high flame damage.

Incinerate

A charged attack dealing very high flame damage.

Heat Wave

Valkynaz Akqoth releases fire along the ground in the direction it is facing. This attack does moderate flame damage to all targets hit by it as well as dealing moderate flame damage over time (Ignited/Radiating Heat). This spell can be interrupted to stagger Valkynaz Akqoth.

Conflagration

Valkynaz Akqoth continuously spouts fireballs in all directions on the ground, dealing high flame damage each.

Fire Rune

Valkynaz Akqoth shoots three fireballs in the air aimed at targets which forms a fire rune when they lands. Each rune deals continuous moderate-high flame damage to all targets within the red circle.

Firestorm

A channeled flame magic attack where Valkynaz Akqoth holds his staff up, flames flow forth from the end of the staff, dealing continuous increasingly fast ticks of moderate flame damage to all players. Valkynaz Alqoth also casts a shield which renders him invunerable to damage. This can be interrupted to disable the shield and to stagger Valkynaz Akqoth. No red sparks indicators show that it is interruptible.

Glass Sky

When the Mirrormoor Champion is close to death, the three Valkynaz will arrive in the shielded area to perform the spell. Large AoE circles will appear around random players and the shards of glass will smash down from the sky, dealing very high magic damage and snaring.

Dialogue

When he is starting the ritual:

Valkynaz Akqoth: "We three, shrouded in glass, summon the forgotten realm."

When encountered performing the ritual in the wilds, you may hear his ambient dialogue:

"Irnak Myrr-mahr, suni zagh. Irnak Myrr-mahr, suni zagh."

"Vyla uxun, vyla vesek. Vyla uxun, vyla vesek."

"Vyla Myrr-Mahr, vyla vesek! Vyla Myrr-Mahr, vyla vesek!" ^{[verification needed — see talk page]}

After you disrupt his ritual:

Valkynaz Akqoth: "A small victory. You will not fare as well with the others."

Valkynaz Akqoth: "Miserable mortals. Your world ends in glass and fury."

When the champion is about to be summoned as the rift opened, he may say the following sets of lines:

Valkynaz Akqoth: "This realm awaits, champion of Mirrormoor!"

Valkynaz Akqoth: "Bathe this world in prismatic glory!"

Valkynaz Akqoth: "Champion, the path is prepared!"

Valkynaz Akqoth: "Transform this realm to crystal!"

During the fight with the champion, he will arrive to defend it:

Valkynaz Akqoth: "Mirrormoor stands against you!"

Valkynaz Akqoth: "Foolish mortals! This is but the start."

After you drive him back:

Valkynaz Akqoth: "We shall return."

Valkynaz Akqoth: "Defeated? Think again!"

As the champion is close to death, the three Valkynaz will arrive together to use the Glass Sky attack:

Valkynaz Akqoth: "Despair, mortals! We are here!"

Valkynaz Akqoth: "Let the sky rain glass!"

Valkynaz Akqoth: "Witness Mirrormoor's might!"

If Valkynaz Akqoth is the one to cast the spell:

Valkynaz Akqoth: "^(?)"

Upon defeating the Valkynaz and their champion:

Valkynaz Akqoth: "We will return!"
