Valkynaz Marukhir

Valkynaz Marukhir is a Shardborn Dremora who is one of the leaders involved with the Mirrormoor Incursions plaguing West Weald. He can be encountered in wilds around a Mirrormoor Mosaic performing a ritual to empower the rift, as well as defending the Mirrormoor champion once it is summoned.

Skills & Abilities

Valkynaz Marukhir from the side

As a boss rank enemy, Valkynaz Marukhir is immune to crowd control. He uses a sword and shield in battle.

Glass Shards

When alone before the main boss fight, multiple Shard Tornadoes wander about in the zone. They move slowly, dealing very fast ticks of moderate magic damage and knocking back players in an area.

Ritual Glass

When alone before the main boss fight, Valkynaz Marukhir stands in the middle of a zone dealing continuous fast ticks of moderate magic damage and knocking back.

Glass Lightning

When alone before the main boss fight, lightning strikes happen throughout the whole zone, dealing moderate-high magic damage in a small area.

Quick Strike

Basic melee attack dealing moderate-high physical damage.

Low Slash

Valkynaz Marukhir slashes the target's shins, dealing moderate-high physical damage and snaring. Blocking will reduce the damage taken, but not the snare.

Power Bash

A heavy shield bash that does very high physical damage and stuns. This attack can be blocked to stagger Valkynaz Marukhir.

Divine Leap

Valkynaz Marukhir leaps high up in the air and crashes down with great force, staggering and dealing moderate-high physical damage to anyone within the displayed AoE.

Shield Throw

Valkynaz Marukhir throws its shield in a straight line in front of itself aiming at its target, indicated by a red rectangle, dealing very high physical damage and knocking down affected targets. The shield then comes back in the exact same trajectory, applying the same damage and effects as before. Then a clone of Valkynaz Marukhir appears in front him and does the same two-step attack.

Shield Charge

Valkynaz Marukhir charges to a distant target like Shield Charge does, dealing very high physical damage as well as knocking back the target. Blocking staggers instead.

Glass Sky

When the Mirrormoor Champion is close to death, the three Valkynaz will arrive in the shielded area to perform the spell. Large AoE circles will appear around random players and the shards of glass will smash down from the sky, dealing very high magic damage and snaring.

Dialogue

When encountered performing the ritual in the wilds, you may hear his ambient dialogue:

"Irnak Myrr-mahr, suni zagh. Irnak Myrr-mahr, suni zagh."

"Vyla uxun, vyla vesek. Vyla uxun, vyla vesek."

When you are disrupting his ritual before the champion arrives:

Valkynaz Marukhir: "Fools! I am your end!"

Valkynaz Marukhir: "Witness the power of Mirrormoor!"

After you disrupt his ritual:

Valkynaz Marukhir: "So futile. The kyn will destroy you."

When the champion is about to be summoned as the rift opened, he may say the following sets of lines:

Valkynaz Marukhir: "Champion, we summon you!"

Valkynaz Marukhir: "Now the champion comes!"

Valkynaz Marukhir: "Purge this realm of mortal filth!"

Valkynaz Marukhir: "Remake this realm in glass!"

During the fight with the champion, he will arrive to defend it:

Valkynaz Marukhir: "To the Champion!"

Valkynaz Marukhir: "Flee, you mortal fools!"

After you drive him back:

Valkynaz Marukhir: "We aren't done yet."

As the champion is close to death, the three Valkynaz will arrive together to use the Glass Sky attack:

Valkynaz Marukhir: "We strike as one!"

Valkynaz Marukhir: "Your defiance ends now!"

Valkynaz Marukhir: "Together we shall overwhelm you!"

Upon defeating the Valkynaz and their champion:

Valkynaz Marukhir: "No!"
