The Hall of the Elements is a large training and meeting chamber inside the College of Winterhold.

Besides training spell casting, the chamber is also used for teaching classes, lectures, and meetings.

Inside the hall with the Eye of Magnus at the center

A pair of massive wooden doors serves as the main entrance. These open to the antechamber, which has two doors: one to the northwest that leads to the Arch-Mage's Quarters, and one to the southeast that leads to the Arcanaeum. The hall itself is a large circular room with a high ceiling supported by a ring of pillars. The hall is entered through a pair of large gates which have the College symbol worked into the design. Around the outside edge of the hall is a series of wooden benches, with small light spheres between every two benches. There is a large focus point in the center of the room, with magical energy rising from it up to the ceiling above. During most of the College of Winterhold questline, the Eye of Magnus is kept in the hall, floating above the focus point.

  • It is impossible to wait in the Hall of the Elements.

Bugs[edit]

  • The stone platform beneath the focus point may fail to render, leaving the hourglass shaped focus point and blue pillar of light floating in midair, revealing a triangular compound dodecagon (12 pointed star) in the center of some beautifully organized masonry resting within the surrounding outer circle where the stairs should be. No problems appear to be caused by this happening. ?
  • The main entrance of the hall may be in the opened animation from the outside and cause the player to be unable to enter. A reload fixes this. ?
