The Amber Forest is a wooded region in the Mournhold District of Morrowind, poisoned by the salts of the Deshaan Plains.

The region is planned to appear to the south of Almalexia. Like Sundered Scar to the north of that city, the forest once had a more lush and thriving form, and the decline of these areas mirrors the waning power of the Indoril and the living god Almalexia. The salts of the Deshaan Plains to the south now seep into the soil and poison the southern fringes of the woodlands, causing them to leak sap and petrify over time. Only the interconnected roots of the trees permit the forest's survival, as the water from the better soils of the north sustains the blighted south.
