Quick Walkthrough

1. Speak to Nivis Serethran in the Hlan Oek temple about duties and the Crook of the Crossing.
2. Journey to the Monastery of St. Delyn and talk to Aeyne Redothril.
3. Go to Andarannipal on Lake Andaram's southern shore and obtain the Letter to Gavls Salothran.
4. Travel to Idathren or Varashimmus (to the east of town) and ask about the Crook of the Crossing.
5. Confront Tureyvendil in Idathren and either:
   • Pay the 2000 gold demanded.
   • Take the staff by force.
   • Pull rank as a Wizard or higher in the Mages Guild, and demand the staff be handed over.
6. Bring the Crook of the Crossing to Nivis Serethran.

Notes

• As Patriarch of the Temple, you can speak to Nivis about the Crook of the Crossing topic once the artifact has been retrieved to demand it back from him, and he will morosely comply.

10		Nivis Serethran has heard rumors that the Crook of the Crossing, an artifact that had traditionally belonged to the Hlan Oek Temple, is still near Lake Andaram. He wants me to pay the nearby Monastery of St. Delyn, northwest of Hlan Oek, a visit, and ask Aeyne Redothril about the staff.
20		I have asked Aeyne Redothril, the master of the Monastery of St. Delyn, about the Crook of the Crossing. While she harbors doubts that the staff really dates back to Saint Veloth's time, she has confirmed that it is rumored to currently be in Andarannipal, a Daedric ruin on the southern shore of Lake Andaram.
30		I have found a letter on the leader of the cultists in Andarannipal. It talks about a staff that could be the Crook of the Crossing, and mentions the sender being on Guild business in the Daedric ruin of Varashimmus, as well as a meeting in Idathren to hand over the staff.
31		Zarasni-Sa at the Lake Andaram ferry outpost has told me that she took a scary looking Dunmer to Idathren. When he went there he had a staff with him, and it was gone when she returned.
32		The members of the Mages Guild at Varashimmus told me that the only member of their group who has left the ruins since they came here was Tureyvendil. He has been taking trips to Idathren to pick up supplies for them.
33		People in Idathren have confimed [sic] that Tureyvendil, a member of the Guild of Mages, is in Idathren. He is an Altmer wearing a red robe.
40		Tureyvendil has admited to having bought the Crook of the Crossing from the cultists in Andarannipal.
50		When I demanded the Crook of the Crossing from Tureyvendil he attacked me.
51		I have bought the Crook of the Crossing from Tureyvendil for 2000 gold.
52		I have ordered Tureyvendil to hand over the Crook of the Crossing. He was angry, but submitted to my authority in the Guild of Mages.
100	Finishes quest	I have delivered the Crook of the Crossing to Master Serethran. He has rewarded me with gold and a full set of the Gospel of Saint Veloth for my personal use. He has more duties for me.
110	Finishes quest	Gethis Raviro was executed by the Camonna Tong as soon as he left the safety of the Temple, and Nivis Serethran has found out that I had lied about reaching an agreement with Lloden Dadrys. He expelled me from the Temple, and told me that he would have no further duties for me in Hlan Oek, even if I am reinstated. He also instructed all members of his Temple to no longer offer me their services.
111	Finishes quest	Gethis Raviro was executed by the Camonna Tong as soon as he left the safety of the Temple, and Nivis Serethran has found out that I had lied about reaching an agreement with Lloden Dadrys. He will not give me any more duties in the future. He also instructed all members of his Temple to no longer offer me their services.
